Can we have the Bo from early September back?

Seems to be sleepwalking again lately.

Should be 5-3 and only 1 out. And runner at 2nd. Wow. Some boneheaded plays there.

I mean the emotion from the walk off last night was fun.

But as I watched the BlueJays prance around, and a soaked Vladdy staking home ownership with chest thumps, I noticed the Yankees calmly walking off the field observing the show. And they just looked like a team that has an eye on the big picture.

Sure enough a day later and they’re schooling the Jays, who just spoiled their own best chance for a rally.

Some maturing still needed quickly if the Jays are going to go deep into October.

I only saw the replay but looked like Vladdy was actually safe. Unless tagging the helmet that isnt on his head counts for an out. Of course, no challenge left.

All teams celebrate like that when winning in a walk off. Especially in a playoff race, it's not just the Jays. I don't think there is a reason to downplay your emotions. Just like when teams clinch playoff spots. Go out and pop the champagne.

Yankees have done the same thing multiple times this year. They aren't anything special.

That's so infuriating. Rizzo pretty much puts his toes outside the box and leans over the plate. Half swings and gets hit in the arm. Through all the BS of what you can and can't do as a ball player it's amazing he's gotten away with that crap for a decade.

He's sort of doing it again right now haha. Basically calling out the Jays for dogging it and not bringing their best consistently. Saying, "if you want to be champions, play like champions... Every day."

Someone captured it on Twitter

I'd say this game should be a learning experience but they should know by now. You can't half-ass it and expect to win.

First pitch HR is what I’m expecting

For the chance to get $2M the prices are fairly reasonable. I'm debating going for it tomorrow, as there are two tickets at about the $100 mark in the outfield, but based on how they're pitching him this series, and also how he's swinging for those line drives, I'm thinking the Jays really don't mind walking him. Secondly, he probably wants to do it in Boston.

Buck is right but it's usually not the obvious stuff like Vlad admiring his not-quite-HR and then trying to stretch a double. It's the little things like their plate discipline that tend to kill them.
