Actually I was looking at the ratings today on Twitter. The show started strong with 900k viewers, then plunged down to about 720k, but bounced back for the start of the second hour with the Bucks promo at about 800k. But then plunged again ending up with the main event at under 700,000 viewers.
I think overall they averaged about 77900, but its funny that it really plunged with Osphrey in the main event.

This is revisionist history. The Bucks have always had a huge cult following and BTE was basically the catalyst for the original All In show.

Agreed. I just find them simply spot monkeys who aren't really exciting on the mic, just try to play the 'little hyenas' schitck. I change the channel when they're on. I'll give them this, they do understand how to work the business, but it's not for me. I also don't care about BTE, never have (except for when Brodie Lee / Dark Order were on it).

I am not a fan of their character work or their variants off those base characters they've had for so long.
That said, I could see them being extremely successful in WWE with tighter scriptwriting.
One thing to note - the Bucks are playing the gatekeeper roles, particularly for the tag team division. I'm pretty sure they're aware of this and aren't getting in the way of putting other teams over.

Yeah, this is sort of why I don't get the "smug jerks" comment. Even going back to their NJPW days, the Bucks have always had zero issues putting people over. I remember there being a lot of concern about them having control the book and pushing themselves in AEW, and then they went out on the very first episode of Dynamite and put Private Party. Pretty sure.
I understand they're not for everyone, but they definitely have a good understanding of what their role should be in the company.
I'll never forget seeing the Young Bucks for the first time.
Was at a buddy's place for Wrestle Kingdom when I had this conversation:
Friend: Are you familiar with the Young Bucks?
Me: I've heard of them but haven't seen them before
Friend: Well you know how some tag teams are great workers, very psychological, cut the ring in half, put in epic matches and are phenomenal on the mic?
Me: Yeah
Friend: Well that's not them, get ready for a lot of super kicks!

Fantastic promo between the four tonight. Hyped for WrestleMania. Absolutely fantastic work. Heel Rock always kills it, but all four brought it tonight. Although why was Rollins wearing a sleeping bag?
The diarrhea Dwayne chants are dumb and childish, not a fan of that. Yet it was funny seeing 18,000 fans chant it tonight.

Got back into WWE a bit in the past few months and got the network. Was planning to keep it until WrestleMania but now our Shaw contract is up in a couple of weeks and we were planning on cutting cable. Any options out there to watch Mania otherwise? Is it still shown in cinemas, is that still a thing?

Think you can get it with Sports let's streaming service. That's how I watch sometimes.

Rock or Stone Cold or Mankind's themes are nothing special without the IF YA SMELL, glass shatter, or tire squeal.
Jim Johnston did magical work with them back in the day. Dude should be in the HOF.
One thing that has changed in the business is the melding of wrestling and personal branding - both in the ring and out. If a wrestler has a trademark catchphrase, theme or brand, they should be able to carry that over. I was glad to see WWE allow that to happen with Cody Rhodes, and also letting Shawn Spears use his real name, but it needs more. All those years of WWE stuffing well-known wrestlers into crappy gimmicks with dumb names is hopefully done.
