That actually looks pretty good. Much better than recent mcu offerings. My only worry is the clumsiness that may come with introducing them to the main mcu universe.

I thought Galactus would be bigger.

Doesnt he literally eat planets? How does he plan on stuffing Earth into that tiny ol' craw?

Ah apparently he can change his size depending on how much clothing Vanessa Kirby is wearing.

Galactus doesn't actually look like that. He looks different to every being that perceives him. His true form is not conceivable and whatever is looking at him adjusts what they see based on what their mind can handle.

He is supposed to be freakishly strong. He is portrayed and this big fat guy but as I recall in the comics he is almost pure muscle.

It was gnarly for sure. I'm surprised at how graphic they let it get.
Love what they did with Bullseye too. He feels so dangerous all the time. Like, even to give him that felt pen to sign that release? Love how they were using the lighting/color scheme to show him going into this like focused psychosis.

It took me a bit to get into Daredevil because I'm still dealing with some Affleck Trauma, but it turned out really well and then the introduction of The Punisher? Oh man, he's one of my favourites.
And I was skeptical of the revival but...they did it well.

ALL ABOARD!

Locke, Punisher is getting his own special, which I'm assuming is just a movie.
"Bernthal is co-writing the special alongside Reinaldo Marcus Green, who will also direct. The special will air in 2026, alongside Daredevil Season 2."

Bernthal could absolutely carry a Punisher movie. And I’m not talking about some D+ special, I mean a full-blown theatrical release.
Something stripped down, low-budget, gritty. A moody, action-packed film that doesn’t rely on big CGI set pieces, but leans into street-level violence, relentless pacing, and a raw sense of justice.
No dumbass 'who cares?' villains or throwaway bad guys, just real, dangerous people you actually want to see taken down. A character-driven mafia takedown that feels more like John Wick meets The Town than your typical superhero fare.

Something I thought they did well in the Daredevil sequel was really make no effort to tone Frank down. You want help from The Punisher? You'll get help from The Punisher but only in the manner in which The Punisher provides it. Which means gregariously extreme violence.
And thats the way we like it.

Thunderbolts was enjoyable. A slightly different tone and fun group of characters.
But I think calling it a return to form is a reach. The first half didn't have much going on, and when it finally got up to speed it felt like it was over quickly. Left you wanting more, which maybe isn't a bad thing.
Ended in a fun way though. It was most effective as a hype builder for Doomsday as opposed to a triumph in its own right.

Me and the wife just got back from the Thunderbolts* we really liked it.
As far as the return to form comments go, this movie had great practical action, a using VFX to clean the action rather than create it. It directly comments on some of the most recent releases without relaying on them for plot, and really leaves you with the feeling that it will tie into the next two movies, everything that made the MCU feel like a must see serial, instead of writers who have ran out of ideas straining to push out another instalment, force feeding us connections that lead nowhere.
As a standalone movie, the action was great, acting was wonderful, it was funny and emotional, and gave people a bunch of characters they could personally identify with, not too confusing as far as franchise tie ins go, and left the characters sitting in a new and different place at the end of the show. Just not a lot to complain about in this movie, unless you are predisposed to complaining about this genre of movie for it's very existence.

Well there were multiple tie ins to the falcon & winter soldier show. I didn't watch it so I was a little confused as to where a couple of the characters came from. Luckily a friend filled me in on that.
I don't like requiring TV show viewing to understand backstories. Not very casual-friendly. But it was easy enough to follow, regardless.
