Could they have charged two errors on that play? Espinal for the bad throw that gets the first run in and Vladdy for letting it by him to get the second run in.

Espinal looked ok a few games ago at third but he doesn’t have any range. It’s hard to believe that he was once considered a defence first player. He’s just not good enough as a backup at either the plate or in the field.

Buck and Dan are giving Vlad too much credit for his defence this season. Every time he ####s up, it’s as if the last time he ####ed up didn’t happen. He’s coasting on his gold glove. Maybe that’s Vlad’s problem…he’s a coaster not a driver.

On a single throw there is only going to be a single error. If Vlad ran back and picked the ball up and then dropped it and allowed the guys to get another base, there would be a second error assigned.

Gausman has been grinding for the past few games. It’s becoming a bit concerning.

Espinal error aside Gausman hasn't been very sharp tonight. A lot of hard contact.

Ever since he missed those games with his side injury, he has struggled. Wondering if he is pitching at less than 100% or if he’s just lost his mojo.

Brutal. Gausman wasn’t good. Even Mayza is terrible.

Talk about a turning point that error was. Lets see if the bats can pick this team up for the first time all season.

I think Kikuchi is our best starter now. Problem with Gausman is as a two pitch starter he has high variability. If he isn’t fooling anyone with the deception on his two pitches he gets crushed. Kikuchi if something isn’t working can fall back to other stuff.

Tough to see them score 8 tonight but I guess we'll see.
