Solid win and a pretty encouraging start from Estrada. Loved the walk from Upton and the insurance runs batted in from Smoak at the top of the 9th. Jays are really good!

And yet another visiting park with a ton of Jays fans representing. Great to see!
Did Jays fans outnumber Orioles fans? I know Baltimore is sketchy downtown, especially at night, but jeez that place was empty (and Camden Yards is a great park still)

That two year gap between Skydome and the Trop and US Cellular and Camden Yards might as well have been 20. Parks since have been so much nicer.

Camden Yards was basically the start of a new era for parks and how they should be built. Anything before then was just concrete.

Yeah I thought Camden Yards was the first of the new wave and that Skydome was the last of the old. But Tropicana and Comiskey 2 were tucked in between.

edit: I guess they actually renovated Comiskey to make it feel more retro, so yeah, Camden was the first of the new wave.

Comiskey made some strides but Camden was the leap

It's really a shame, because those new parks are a much better experience compared to Skydome which really just feels kind of awful. Granted it's been a long time since I've seen a game there.

Well the Skydome can still be a great park - if the team is good and the crowd is into it, and the roof is open. Sight lines are good and there is nothing wrong with it.
But it also doesn't have anything special or unique, apart from the roof, which at the time was pretty amazing, but now not so much.

I really like the park in San Diego. So many nice little touches.

I was watching the O's feed and they kept talking about the Jays MLB scouts. Whoever is scouting pitchers needs a raise...BeAGenie, Benoit and Grilli all have been awesome.

Wasn't Jacobs in Cleveland the first "retro" park? (nope, just looked it up, Jacobs was 1994, Camden 92)

Camden was the second stadium I ever saw a game in (awful Vet Stadium in Philly was the first). Beautiful park. The warehouse is a bit of an optical illusion, it's rarely shown from the side. It's not very wide at all.

I went to Comiskey (US Cellular) last year. I didn't find it bad at all.

Was at Rogers Centre earlier this summer; when the roof is open and it's packed it's still a great ballpark. The flight deck has been an awesome addition to the stadium. It just needs new bigger seats for fans IMO. It is definitely a different experience when the roof is open as opposed to closed.

Comiskey was pretty damn plain, I thought. I wouldn't really rank it ahead of Skydome - especially when the roof is open.

But you're right about San Diego. Petco is a nice little park.

Pretty sweet line up.

Only change I would make would be to move Travis into either the #1 or #2 slot, slide the rest down from there.

Personally, I like Bautista leading off. Those top three guys are the top three on the team on OBP, so makes sense to put them at the top. Jose also draws a ton of walks and can get that first inning going right. Not sure Travis is an improvement there as I wouldn't trade getting on base more for a little extra speed on the basepaths.
