Brent Sutter came up with the plan how to shut down Ovy.

I know we're up by 4 goals, but Canada needs to get re-focused before the 3rd. They're looking a bit too loosey-goosey out there right now.

Russia trying to get too cute on the PP. Just shoot and get a rebound or deflection.

Only 9 shots that period. We need another 20 on Bryz.

Clearly the story tonight has not been Greaser, Crosby, or Ovechkin.

You have to intentionally play the puck.
Otherwise you could simply shoot the puck at players as they went to the bench.

Yes it is. If it impedes the play it is a penalty.

4 goal lead with 20 minutes left. Canada just has to keep up the pressure in the 3rd and try to limit the amount of Russian chances because you know they're going to come out with everything they got.

Most heard statement in the 2010 Olympics:

Nope. Me neither. If Canada can get their forecheck going again and play the way they did in the 1st, Russia won't have a prayer. But if we keep playing river hockey, this game is going to get ugly fast.

Canada really let off the gas compared to the first period anyways. Still playing very well but you really can't afford to give the Russians an inch, we did that period and while the score is still a bit out of hand if any team in the tournament can come back to make it a game the Russians can.
Hope Canada can really pull out all the stops and shut down Russia in the third.
On a different note, wow is Iggy ever defensive minded this tournament while still being a scoring machine. Good to see.

In other Olympic news, women are 1-3 in the Bobsleigh, with 1 round to go.

No. It's not.
