Crap, does anyone else find scoring harder? I played all night yesterday on BFTC and I got one goal in like 7-8 periods...
Yeah, I do. The most effective way for me so far is shooting from the point, with traffic.
Tonight, I was in the prospects game when my goalie let in a shot that was taken from right on the goal line, in the corner. That was on Hardcore-Allstar. Yikes- that was a touch unrealistic.
I don't know if Jobo or anyone can answer this but in the new BAP mode can we still select the team we want to play on?
I would hate to restart my BAP and end up being drafted by the Oilers or Leafs every time.
From what I can see in the demo, there seems to be 2 options for Be a Pro mode. NHL Entry Draft, and BAP mode. So I'm assuming, if you pick BAP mode without the entry draft, you would just pick a team to start with.
Hardcore All Star is quite difficult to get a goal.
Yea, I just scored 3 goals going back to the Default, which I've never played up till now. From how I see it, normal plays like 09 and hardcore is ...hardcore.

They should do cool things like

2. NTC's when you sign a new contract if you want
one thing I didn't like about BAP mode on 09 you better have a kick ass game every single game not to get demoted or sent down to the AHL. Hell I was like 40 games into the season with something like 24 goals and 20 assists and I simmed 10 games and was put on waivers and sent to the AHL. I was like WTF!?!?! you have to be kidding me.

Man, the CPU passing is way too tape-to-tape if you ask me. In hardcore mode especially.
i agree. like i said last night, it seems like the new inaccurate passing only applies to humans and not the cpu.

After a few nights of this, I don't really enjoy playing with CPU. Perhaps the EASHL will be more rewarding. The passing of the cpu kinda ruins it for me..
I think the EASHL is where all the improvements like board play will show themselves most. I am curious to see if human controlled players can succumb to being intimidated by being shoved around after the whistle, hit hard, etc.
Remember, there are going to be CPU sliders. Maybe you can tweak them to get the passing accuracy down.

I really dislike this aspect. If I nudge a guy (which is just a stupid habit) or take a shot after the whistle I always end up getting a penalty not to my controlled guy, but my cpu controlled teamates that start frantically throwing elbows to defend me. I really wonder if there's a way to turn this feature off or tone it down. I notice there is a slider, but i don't know what it encompasses. To be honest the little changes are what make the game a must buy for me ... the large noticeable changes so far I don't care for.

I'm actually starting to really enjoy the gameplay on hardcore. There seems to be a lot more variety in goal scoring this year, more random bounces. Boardplay adds a lot to the game.

So I downloaded the demo tonight and first impressions is awesome. I like the 1st person fighting and the turtle button. Crowds seem to be vastly improved and actually react when you score a goal, can't wait to see the C of Red in full action.
Also props to EA for putting in ice graphics for the playoffs all they need now is the jersey patch and i'll be a happy man.
Jobo, did they change the length of the custom soundtracks this year? Because I recorded the new Yahoo guy in the playoffs for my 09 game and hopefully I can just edit it over on the 10 soundtrack.
I'll be uploading my Flames custom music pack for anyone who wants it after the game is released, just gotta do some tweaking to Beesley yelling ARE YOU READY and volume of spitfire.

Does the PS3 music pack work the same way as the XBOX one? if it does then I'd love to get that pack!

That man, is simply amazing.... How would you be able to transfer it to the rest of us? Getting us to download the file, burn to cd and then extract to hd? Never done via internet, as I have always used my own music off of computer/cd. Nonetheless, simply quit fantastic.
