Huska makes a perfect assistant coach. He is smart and can break down the details of the game. He can also play good cop to a demanding head coach. Unfortunately he’s leadership and motivation skills just aren’t there. Not saying you need a hard ass like Sutter but rather someone like Paul Maurice. He can light that fire and push the right buttons.

It is harder to be a NHL coach when your team sucks and you don’t have any good players.

Was only able to watch a few mins of the first after puck drop. Will go back through the thread, but I see 18 shots 4 goals. How has Vladar been?

No idea how that wasn't a hold on Huberdeau there, that's two missed calls on him

Weird, in the first when Mantha went after Miller it was a penalty, when Pettersson gives a shot and goes after Pospisil there is no penalty.

Man. Every time Huberdeau has the puck on his stick with space in the offensive zone you just know it's going to end in a turnover. I don't hate ghe guy. But I kind of do. God damn. Do something.

He had a #1 goalie, a great D, and a pretty skilled group last year. What's your excuse for that? He has good players, he just doesn't know how to use them. The way he has them play in the O zone could be great for Klapka though if he can park himself in front of the net and get some screens and put in some garbage goals.
