Fleetwood is one of my absolute favorites. In almost any other context, I’m pulling for him to win.

Really really hope Full Swing was on the scene for this one. That’ll be a hell of an episode

Yep, I've been cheering for him to win one for years. This is basically the ONLY scenario where I'd be rooting for him to lose.

Looking at that view, I didn't realize that the security guard literally broke Nick Taylor and his caddie from the biggest, most surreal moment in their lives. Jesus.

One thing I didn't notice until further viewing that was awesome, was that they showed a view 20 seconds after the Hadwin tackle where Hadwin and the security guard had their arms around each other and were laughing together.
That's the perfect Canadian moment to an awkward misread, imo.

The guy in the poncho wiping out in the background was worth a chuckle.
Nantz’s call was certainly cheesy with the glorious and free bit. But his excitement when it dropped was cool to hear.

Run of the mill tournament no one cares about?
TSN started their SC broadcast, (also the biggest of the week being primetime Sunday) by spending the first 13 minutes straight on Sundays events.
This on day in which their was CFL football (flagship property of theirs), finals of the French open, NHL finals talk, NBA finals talk, the Blue Jays comeback win, and various motorsports talk.
But yeah, just another golf tourney that didnt mean anything.

I mean it is a run of the mill tournament as it doesn't have elevated status - not sure of the reason, possibly a sponsorship dollar thing. But regardless, it's a lot like the National Bank Canadian Open in tennis - it's an important enough tournament that most of the best players attend, but it's not a major. Nonetheless, if a Canadian man were to win it, it would be a big story in this country (a woman too, just not as big a story since that happened in 2019.)

More articles written about the PGA LIV deal with the Saudis and I still see next to no detail about what the hell is really going on. What is the intended purpose of this for profit entity they created? No one says very much, talk about vague long term plans but that sounds like BS to me. I’m sure the Saudis have some concrete plans of what they want out of this.

Unless I misheard I believe the pga tour was asked about elevated events and why the Canadian open was not one. Sounds like some tournaments will be rotated in and out of elevated status year to year, and the Canadian Open was one of them.

I wouldn’t count on much of anything staying the same with the Tour, including the elevated status which was brought in to fight LIV.
Maybe they stick with it but who knows.

Would they ever have an elevated event a week before a major?
Excited for the US Open this weekend. Pulling for Koepka!

Very interested to see how the US Open plays out on this course. Sounds like it could be challenging if they put the pins in some tricky spots but lots of people mentioned they're surprised the fairways are so wide. Tour pros are deadly from the fairway.
Also there's a chance that there will a par 3 over 300 yards and other one under 100 yards.

For all the talk of the thick rough, I think we see some low scores because of the fairways. I’m thinking -12 wins the tourney.

On the radio they mention the fairways are wide but they play much narrower due to how fast they are, and how they are sloped/inclines.
So will be interesting to see
