They got the call right by the letter of the rule, but that really doesn't feel like what the spirit of the rule is. It was the right call on a technicality, but I have a hard time not believing he didn’t intend to have possession or attempted possession.

If this had happened to the Flames we'd be livid right now.
I remember a similar play against us a couple years ago, and I remember being livid. However, looking back at the rule, and the no touch, it was the right call. Same thing here.

Okay debating kicks is one thing, but the entire hockey world forgot what offside was tonight?

While we're talking about controversial calls, I clearly saw a distinct kicking motion.

How do you attempt to gain possession in the Offensive zone when you are not in the offensive zone?

I ain’t gonna watch a single minute of this series but I put the odds of an Avs win at 99%+

Hahahahaha 8-6.

What is with the Oilers and dragging teams into their diarrhea river hockey.

They can't be eliminated soon enough so the rest of the teams can get back to high-level, big boy hockey.

Hopefully in Edmonton.

Hopefully in a shutout.

I think the Oilers were very fortunate to get back in this game...Avs were totally owning the 3rd and they got a break on a hurt player and a perfect fluke bank pass from Kassian and then a PP on a massive dive.

Before that they had like 2 shots in the 3rd and the Avs had multiple breakaways

watched the game at a pub in victoria tonight. the entire bar was pro oilers except a few college girls who i have to assume are from calgary cheering against the oilers. it was nice being super obnoxious everytime the avs scored just because #### the oilers.

i really hope this is a short series i cannot stand smug woodcroft acting like hes a genius mastermind everytime he pulls out a win on a record breaking game from mcdavid or drat

The offside goal doesn't matter, the Oilers were the weaker team and aren't winning the series anyways. Am I doing it right?

Yes. Yes, I believe you are.

Can't wait for McDavid's thousand mile stare into the abyss as the superior Nathan MacKinnon celebrates winning the conference.

Yes, Makar was still onside when he touched the puck, and his teammate had cleared

Flames fans after hearing Oilers fans telling them to shut up and deal with a controversial call:

I believe Makar is that smart/aware.
I expect it was neither lucky nor by accident
