So Brady was a Raider until Gruden said.....nope?

UFC president Dana White said he helped broker a deal for quarterback Tom Brady to play for the Las Vegas Raiders when Brady was a free agent quarterback in 2020, but then-Raiders coach Jon Gruden nullified the deal at the last minute.

White was convinced to tell the story by Rob Gronkowski during the UFC with the Gronks broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ for UFC 278 on Saturday night.

"I worked to put that deal together for Brady and Gronk to come to the Raiders," White said. "It was almost a done deal. And at the last minute, Gruden blew the deal up and said that he didn't want him and all hell broke loose, man. It was crazy.

"And Brady was already looking at houses. It wasn't said yet that Gronk was going to be coming. So Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronk the year that the Bucs won the Super Bowl except Gruden blew the deal up."

White added that "there's so much story that goes with this behind the scenes."

I mean, if you ban Garrett for 6 games, how do you not punish Donald in a similar way? It's the same offence. Sure, Garrett did it on national television, but there's obviously video evidence of Donald here doing the exact same thing.

Donald looks even more unhinged than Garrett did too. Standard being set should make it an easy six games.

The NFL doesn’t discipline what happens in practice. Would need to be a team suspension which is…unlikely.

It seems like the NFL should be involved when teams are playing against each other in practice. Lots of bad things can happen when guys are desperately competing for a spot.

We want to start suspending players for what happens in practice now? Gonna be a lot of backups and backup’s backups playing all around the league.

Bills finally doing the right thing and releasing that punter. Those allegations and corresponding evidence is ugly.

Let's be honest, the Bill's releasing their punter is as easy a choice as there is. They might punt 40 times all year. The replacement is likely being evaluated more on abiliyy to hold the ball in snowy conditions, than ability to kick. If it was a position of consequence for them, they probably hesitate the same as any other team in the league does.

Talk out there that Titans will release Brett Kern. This Ryan Stonehouse guy for the Titans has been incredible. Kern a great punter too, so Bills would be getting a good one if they indeed release him.
