I actually hope the Flames sign Forbert to fill that 4th spot and PK.

I don’t want them to sign a big contract at big dollars.

I want Valimaki and Mackey to push for that top 4 spot and Forbert is a guy who can be a good temporary placeholder who can also slide back to the third pairing and not hurt you too much on the cap hit.

Plus Forbert was pretty effective against McDavid in the playoffs.

I didn’t love the Forbort pickup at the time since we weren’t a lock to make it in and Hamonic was expected to return anyways

But he pleasantly surprised me in the bubble. I’d welcome him back and I think Darryl would like what he brings
