I’m honestly glad the Theo era was before my time and I grew up with Iggy because I know the Flames fans who grew up with him are incredibly disappointed with the person he turned out being. I know what happened to Theo by the hands of Graham James was terrible and it had an impact on his mental health, but there comes a point where trauma is no longer an excuse for being a bad person. Players should be allowed to wear #14 again

Theo could have chosen the route taken by Sheldon Kennedy and helped people.
Not that this is a contest but I’d say Sheldon’s trauma is on par with Theo’s.

I think it's more an issue that giving 14 to a player, particularly a young one, would put unnecessary attention on them, including probably from Theo himself.
The best thing that could happen is a player from another team, who already wears 14, is traded here and just continues to wear it.

That's a good question has a player ever been traded or signed that wore 14 prior to coming to the Flames and changed his number.

Fleury was my favorite player as a kid.
Fleury is still my favorite player as an adult.
Thankfully, Marc-André has replayed Theo.
It'd be an interesting case study on how people fall down those alt-right rabbit holes.
