29 years of disappointment, with the excepting of that one great year that ended with heart break. Ok, so 28 non-consecutive years of disappointment.
28 years. How much more of this can I take? I'm done. I really am. I don't want to be a fan any more. But here's the problem. The Flames are my "first true love." I've stuck with them through everything. I can't quit them. I'm going to be that stupid sucker who will put on my jersey and watch the game on Friday and cry in my beer after.
Why should I expect anything different? This franchise is cursed.

The sad thing in all this...they should have won the ####ing game
Hathaway hits the goalie in the head with half the net open
Neal blows the zone with a 2 goal lead, got them back in it
Backlund had almost the entire net open...put that ####er upstairs, not a foot off the ice ####ing roof it

They're a 1 line team that the Flames are making look better than they actually are. It wouldn't shock me if they got knocked out next round.

I disagree. The Flames have been absolutely horrid and have had the game on their sticks twice in overtime.
When the Avs play a team that actually forechecka and defends transition thoughout their lineup they’ll be dead in the water unless they dominate the special teams battle

Bananas. They looked more “comfortable” in front of Rittich?
This isn’t a comfort issue. I’d resign Smith right now to play 30
Games (and maybe the playoffs) next year.
Smith has been the best goalie in the playoffs. Absolutely outstanding. Rittich would be doing worse. As would any other goalie in the league.

Johnny has played 19 playoff games....and only has 4 goals and is a minus 8...
We could get a kings ransom for him.
But we need to do it now.
Ship out Monahan again we could get a lot for him
Trade Backlund he’s useless.
And trade Brodie to Edmonton for their 8th pick, they need defensemen badly

Vegas is going to clown whoever wins this series.
Colorado isn’t winning this series because they’re a powerhouse, they’re winning this series because the Flames top guys went to sleep.

All I ask is for them to actually show up Friday night.
Just give us one good playoff game this year where you look like a number 1 seed.

Should they beat the Flames I bet they will do better than many are expecting. Although against Vegas they won't be getting the preferential treatment from the refs

i don't disagree, but if the players don't change something, it doesn't matter what the goalie does.
I'm not even one advocating for it. But I understand why some people want the give the players a kick in the pants.

Also really surprised Gio tried to just blast the rebound through 3 Avs and Grubauer. Frolik was wide open in the slot calling for it with a fairly wide open net.

Maybe Peters stole Gaudreau and Monahan’s hearts?
I really don’t see this series as Peters being out coached. I see it as Colodado’s top guys absolutely dumping Calgary’s.

It’s easier to give a small skilled player like Johnny the benefit of the doubt and not blame him if said player is going through the wall and doing whatever it takes to win. This includes fighting for every square inch of space and being a defensive presence too when need be. However he shows none of that.
I agree with you on the whining. I can’t stand any player that continually does that. It’s embarrassingly bad.

Sit ##### Neal next game and get rid of him. All year- he’ll come around. End of the year- it’s ok, he will be a beast in the playoffs. Failure. Move on. Somebody will
take that salary.

I think they’ll get absolutely decimated by a team like the Knights. The Flames refuse to “dig in” the way other playoff teams are digging in to get the work done.
It’s absolutely crushing for me as a fan to watch the team fall apart like this right now. Every shift, players are shying away from the playoff battle.
As good as we were all season, the Flames, to me - are refusing to battle.
I really hope this series gets turned, but right now the Flames don’t deserve it. They deserve to be down 3-1.
