I've been tough on smith and am still hoping we see rittich start for playoffs, but hes been fine lately.

I know this will sound very negative on one of the most positive nights we have had in a long time but is anyone worried about our pp going into the playoffs ?

Not a whole lot personally. The power play being cold was a result of our top line being cold, them waking up the past few games bodes well for the power play too as we continue along here.

Not in the least. I worry far more about a bad PK. but the Flames dont have that.

It'd be an issue if the team was still struggling 5v5 but they arent.

yup i feel the same way... i'd go with Rittich, but would understand if Peters decided to go with Smith.

he's cut down on the bad goals, which is huge.

Even great goalies get beat, but when he was giving other teams unearned goals, it really deflated the team...

based on the numbers they posted, Smith is playing better than rittich (quality of the opposition notwithstanding)

Haha. It's funny, up until that point, I thought they were quite refreshing. Nice to have some guys in the booth that seem to genuinely have a good time while PBPing.

Anyway, I hope that Mardano-Rasmussen D pairing really picks up.

Neal has been nhl-level-good two straight games. But this might be the best we've seen of him.
