Yeah I'll take heat for this but to me Prout wouldn't be a substantial drop off tonight in place of Stone.

And Mono,Backlund or Dube pot thier good chances, which are being forgotten, it’s 3-2.

Flames got rattled with a bad pp, and losing the second defensive pair for most of period, so out of sorts.
Smith solid too.

We don't NEED an enforcer to beat the tar out of them. We need to start dealing out some punishing hits on these clowns. Someone crush that 150lb kid with a good hipcheck or crush Boeser at the blue line.

And I had no issue with Hamonic doing it, in fact I didn't care who did. Ya you're probably out of your weight class, but stand up for and hype up your team.

Bennett, Tkachuk and Neal should be playing them through the boards. Lindholm, Giordano, and Jankowski should be getting involved wherever they can.

You can punish a team without fade punching, and they are more than capable of making them pay.
The problem with that plan is the guys you named are 180lbs soaking wet .

They really gotta start clicking and owning teams offensively. That’s how this season will go well.

Keep the opposition on the ropes and they won’t be taking cheap shots risking penalties.

Totally agree. That hit was disgusting and exactly the kind of thing that should be punished by the league. Kind of disappointed at how the broadcast crew brushed it off but they spent the last half of the period sucking off the Canucks so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

As long as it doesn't get to the level that the NFL is at this year with protecting QBs.

I just felt like that was a choppy period. I think the Flames will take over here when they start rolling four lines and we get some flow to the game. The Canucks are like the Bob Hartley, year two Flames. They’re a hard working team.

It's hockey. Hamonic is exactly who should've fought Gudbranson.

It's not always about dressing an enforcer. You dress a guy who can play and handle the rough stuff. Gudbrandson himself isn't an enforcer and plays a regular shift. Against a divisional rival I'll always want to see a guy dressed who can fight and play a regular shift. Now who that is, I don't know. But you just do it. Having protection in the lineup in that realm makes everyone play bigger.

The team should take revenge out on the scoreboard, and they should have the ability to do that against this Canucks team

That's not what I mean at all.

If Peters has to say something then we're all in big trouble.

This is a player thing. Are you a real or not? Do you have a gang mentality or not?

It's not about fighting, it's about representing your colours. There will be soft games throughout the year where these guys can pull up and stick check and coast through the neutral zone and on the forecheck, but this shouldn't be one of those games anymore.

Finish your checks, skate hard, muck it up, don't give an inch.

You don't need to dress a brainless goon to fight.

There are guys in the league who can play but can also drop the gloves.
