I may be alone on this but i hate special teams and i think the leniency makes the playoffs so much more exciting. Penalty filled games are like football on ice. I prefer the unpredictability of 5 on 5 play and constant back and forth.

Caps are doing a great job defending the usual Vegas push.

Fun thing. Caps lead the playoffs by like an insane margin in goals for leading at 70.
LV has 49
BUT! The Caps also leads in goals against with 53 while LV has only 31...
Is there a place that has like 5 on 5 goals for/against? Because I want to see how far ahead the caps are in the specific department. Im thinking its a pretty large lead.

Wsh playing tight defense. This may be a 7 gamer. How insane would a vegas win in game 7 be?

You prefer a totally different game? That seems totally bizarre to me. You watch 82 games then a totally different game in the playoffs. That’s crazy.

Some folks like me think is how hockey should be played all the time. not just the playoffs. I don't think it's THAT crazy.

No, it's not different at all. It's just more intense and tougher battles.
Powerplays create a slow offense vs defense showdown and it's played in one zone for most part.
Nothing beats a playoff OT right. These hardly ever have PPs. Food for thought.

Theres some thought among the hockey media that Andre Burakovsky will be the odd man out in WSH. Boy I'd sure take him on my team.

Horrible penalty by Oshie, as it would have been huge for the Caps to go into the third with a 2-goal lead
That being said, the Knights are diving all over the place

I don’t like scoring chances being taken away by penalties. Which happens in playoff OT all the time. And it cheapens the product.

In Oshie's defense, that soft of a crosscheck has rarely been called this playoff.

There is times when a call needs to be made, but i would not enjoy a hockey game with 15+ PPs. And if they were to call everything thats what you would get. This is what I am saying.
End commiting an offense to prevent a chance does not make the play any less exciting. In fact, it probably increases excitement with a little bit of added rage.
A following PP, a fitting punishment, does nothing but slow the game down.
Maybe we are not really talking about the same thing? I domt have a horse in this series so i am purely here for excitement. Dont care who feels they got screwed on calls. Just want entertaining games.
