Vegas is the road team no matter who wins. Winnipeg and Nashville will have home ice last 2 rounds of the playoffs, whoever wins.

I'm struggling to upload the pic for some reason, but it already shows Nashville vs Vegas for round 3 tickets.
Managed to get game 3 tickets for Wednesday!
Now just need the opponent!

Stubhub was showing all games possible - Nashville and Winnipeg.
When would they announce the Cup schedule? I'm in Vegas the next weekend. I suppose if both series went less than seven I might be able to see a game. If I paid a lot of money, or if I lose a lot at the casino.

Should Nashville clog up the mid lane corridor through all 3 zones and force Winnipeg to the perimeter, as they did in games 4 and 6 , they will suffocate the Jets and win.
Should the Jets be allowed to create speed and control the middle of the ice, Jets will thrive and win.
Expecting both goalies to be on top of their game.
Discipline and special teams are the wildcard.

Agreed.
The HC guys were talking about Laine earlier today and showed how he is still playing regular season hockey on the perimeter and why he hasnt been more effective. Of course his shot is so good he can still affect a game at any moment, but his compete is not where others are, and its because the Preds are making it hard through the middle when they are playing their game.
I still think Nashville wins but nothing would surprise me with the Jets as they have all the pieces.

I can't for the life of me see how neutral fans would cheer on a trapping boring team like Nashville. Do we really want to see a trap rewarded? Do we want the trap back? Because that's how you get the trap back.

Oh lord, get off your high horse. It's not really my theory or idea that teams who win the cup get emulated. If a trapping , boring neutral zone clogging team win the Cup it will encourage others to do so as well. If Nashville wins tonight you can bet I'll be cheering on Vegas to knock them out and get rid of their ####ty brand of hockey.

What's that? Nashville and Winnipeg are not all that different.
Both teams play a version of the trap when they are falling back on defense. In fact every team in the NHL employs a version of it, some more than others. And it always gets ramped up more in the playoffs.
When you are facing a team with speed, you have no choice but to try and angle them to one side of the ice or you will get torched. The Preds are very good at it when they are on and the Jets employ it against the Johansen and Turris lines specifically.
On top of that, its not like Winnipeg is all that more offensively driven than Nashville. 10 more regular season goals. A blip.
Both clubs have oodles of talent both at F and on D. Winnipeg has a bit more speed and Nashville has a more experienced G. That's why this whole series is so insanely close.

I can't for the life of me see how a Winnipeg Jets fan considers Flames fans "neutral fans"
I hope you lose.

I don't think Vegas has what it takes to beat the Preds or the Jets. In my opinion, whoever wins this series is the team that is going to SCF's.

Teams that are strong on transition , defense to offense and offense to defense, are not necessarily “trapping and or boring”.
The winner tonight will outnumber their opponent, more times than not, at both the defensive and offensive blue lines.
Solid mental preparation with readiness and willingness to react quickly to losing the puck and (re)gaining the puck, stops and starts, tracking hard through the middle, quick availability, smart puck management and reads will allow one team to win as opposed to the losing team which will be doing the opposite more times than not ... poor risks, rink turns , frustration etc.
Big price to pay if you want to win.

Highly entertaining game to be played tonite. I'd love to see the Jets advance as I just want to see them do it for thier crazy passionate fans.
I like the Preds too and I'll cheer for the winner to go all the way.
Big game means it's time for certain players to do better.
