Racism certainly exists in Canada. It tends to simmer much deeper under the surface than in the United States. There are terrible Canadians and there are terrible Americans. We are all capable of being terrible.

I went through it this morning, it's mostly gaming, but there is some racist stuff as well.
Once or twice he mentions his hard times but it doesn't seem to get much traction.
He does have a great post saying that people that work minimum wage jobs are stuck in those jobs because they are lazy..

I like following along with the investigation and certainly feel burned from my contribution. However, I will be really disappointed with CP if someone contacts his boss/tries to get him fired.
Report it to the police/GoFundMe/other forums if it is warranted but I think getting the guy fired is never the right route.

It's funny..I check the FOI forum everyday but had no idea who PIMking is or what this gofundme stuff was all about. Decided to check the OT forum today on a quiet hockey day and stumbled upon this thread.
Great job by Squiggs and MMF to bring the scammer to light. Great job by the mods to keep it civil and not get too creepy or pitchforky.
I agree with Jiri that those of you who donated have aright to be angry. But more importantly, be proud of yourselves for giving a guy who was "down on his luck" a hand.
Always entertained by the hilarious gifs and memes inspired by these wierd events that happen once in a while on CP.
