It goes without saying, but Brodie is ridiculously good. His importance to the team can't be overstated.

He just takes the game over whenever he steps onto the ice.

I don't 'like' ticky tacky contact either.

But the bottom line is that the only way you can have consistency is to have a definable line. And the only possible line is at any contact.

Simple rule: don't touch the goalie in the crease.

Three positives:

1) easy to understand
2) consistent calls that are clear on video
3) helps protect the goalies

For those reasons, I can totally get on board with it

Yeah. This isn't football. We don't have yard markers and places to get to. Was the goalie interfered with? In the judgement of the officials, no or yes. It sucks if it doesn't go your way, but it's a judgement call. It's goofy to go look at things in slo motion for five minutes and then completely out-think yourself in pursuit of the truth.
