On a more sane note I have decided that my retro jersey is getting Stajan's number on the back and my next jersey purchase will be Ferland's. He is already becoming my favorite Flame.

I hope Richardson goes to sleep Saturday night knowing his ass is grass.

Could someone please PM me and tell me what the tweet said?

I understand why it can't be posted on here but I really want to know what was said.

EDIT: Thanks RedMileDJ & Cheerio... words can't even describe how disgusting that is.

Wille Lack time on screen: 38 seconds over 10 cuts
Time it took them to mention Bennett leaving the game: 25 minutes

To paraphrase, he basically equated Richardson's cowardly attack on Stajan to the Stajans' loss of their son.

I feel sick typing this but the scumminess of that fan base needs to be exposed.

Is there any way we can demand that Kelly and Rick call games 3 and 4? Like a good old fashioned CP jihad, perhaps?

I think I've just seen why Engelland got so much attention in that brawl. On the Gamecenter Live app there's a 'Multi cam' option.

If you watch the first set of videos covering the brawl, there's an option called 'hero cam'. It focuses on Ferland at first, but then pans over to Engelland & Dorsett. It catches what the main camera didn't, and the reason why Hamhuis rushes over to Dorsett's aid. Engelland choke-slams a helmetless Dorsett to the ice and pounds the #### out of him. As a Flames fan I wouldn't say it was a cheap shot, but I would say it was total brutality.

I am subscribed, but perhaps for the highlights you can view them without. I found the videos (there are 12 different angles of the brawl) on the iPad app.

This is what you should have focused the first time around instead of just talking a personal shot.
"Do you ever quit?" is a personal shot now? Oh my...

Who's to say no one will fight him? You don't think they are going to try proving they aren't complete chicken ####s? Because if they don't they will get completely pushed around at the Dome and they know it. They have to prove they aren't scared of anyone

After watching the brawl, I have no idea who I despise more - that dirty bunch of Canucks or those clueless refs. Despicable stuff especially from Richardson, but what shocked me most was the fact that two refs just stood there and did absolutely nothing. They neither broke up the 2 against 1 fight nor helped Stajan ... unbelievable stuff. Those penalties were a joke.

Hope this ignites the Flames. Let's crush them at home!

I'm really unsure why it's taken you 3 posts to figure out that you could have just addressed the point right away without the "do you stop" dig.

Stop what? As I mentioned to you at the time, you were replying to a post of mine responding to someone suggesting we insert McGrattan specifically so he could attack someone and take the fine for doing so.

Again, if you had issue with that, you could have responded to the point.

So you think there is someone presently on their roster that would drop the gloves in a fight with McGrattan? And who might that be?

That was an exciting way to end a game where we were clearly going to lose. But approaching the next game by inserting a guy into the lineup who can't take a regular NHL shift is not a smart reaction. The Flames need to come out skating next game and take it to the Canucks on the score sheet and with physical play and speed.

Not by taking someone out of the lineup so McGrattan can play 3 mins where no one will fight him - and or attack someone who's unwilling (something he's never been known to do).

Well, I had to leave for work with 10 minutes left in the third and missed all the fun!

The Richardson elbow is blown way out of proportion here. Still. Stajan is hanging on for dear life and he should have eased up.

Engelland is getting a raw deal here. If he gets suspended, Hamhuis damned well should be. You could see him trying to find a dance partner just before he jumped in on Engelland and Dorsett.

Dorsett should get a game to for re-engaging.

Bottom line is though, Flames need to play better hockey, Canucks handled them text book tonight.

I'd love to hear Cuthberts call on the brawl. .

When you consider hockey is played on Ice, I don't think it's being overstated here at all.

As soon as someone is on the ice on their back, anything done in the form of punching / elbowing is reckless and dangerous.

It wasn't an elbow more than a rub/grind across the face. When I heard elbow without seeing what everyone was talking about, I was thinking a straight up and down shot to the face with the elbow like it was a punch.

It certainly is being blown out of proportion. And it's not a critique on other posters either. Everyone is/was wound up in high gear. It's going to happen.

We do agree though Richardson should have eased up. That much is evident.
