There were two separate lines. First was to get the special edition cover signed, the second was for the midnight release. I think there was about 40 people between the two when I left at 10.

However, some of them were n00bs (like myself) and pre-ordered at a different location, so I couldn't pick up at Southcentre tonight.

You can purchase it at Southcentre tonight.

You can't redeem a pre-order purchased from any other location.

Holy crap. Played 2 games against my buddy. Perhaps it was the lack of load on EA's side of things or my upgraded shaw connection or a combo of both, but there was zero lag of any kind. More than impressed with the game against people. The active sticks and pucks make for a very tense game.

Holy moly are you slow at the start of EASHL. You barely move out there.

Haven't had a chance to pick up the full version yet, but last night I had a weird bug with the demo on xBox. Instead of loading the default Devils Vs Kings game it was attempting to load the Sharks Vs Kings. Except it didn't seem to have the assets it needed (uniforms, graphics etc) so it would crash.

I went into the free skate and got a weird blue outline of a goalie labeled Niemi, whom was much easier to score on than Quick.

I was able to get into EASHL and play a game, but "quick play" just refused to go, kept trying to load the sharks and then it would lock up.

Anyways probably gonna pick up the full version at lunch anyways.

Picked up my copy today. I went through a bunch of my old/unplayed games and traded em' in at EB... It all totalled to me getting NHL 13, a new PS3 controller and a $50.00 PSN card for FREE! Boo yah!

I haven't opened mine yet but there must be a code in there on the back of an insert or something?

ok if anyone wants NHL 13 or the CE stanley cup edition, take your old NHL 12 with case & buy adventures of tintin (xbox) at staples for $20 and trade it in at futureshop.

Just did that and I believe I made out like gangbusters.

Code was on the back of the free NHL 3 vs 3 card. Put the code in, everything downloaded, however I didn't get the stanley cup HUT packs I was supposed to get.

Is FS or BB better to trade in games than EB? I am going to pick this game up tonight and am going to trade NHL12 and COD MW3.

What games did you trade in to get all of that stuff? I think this is the way I am going to go. I have so many games that are collecting dust that I haven't touched for years.

Read my post FS is much better.

NHL 12 plus MW3 will get you the steel case edition which comes with a bunch of useless extras, but sells for $80.

Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. Just played my first match and all 5 goals were scored by shooting the puck. I scored most of my goals in NHL12 by one timers cross crease but that won't be happening in this game.

Cross crease passes are pretty tough in this game.
