Just a reminder that Sven Bartschi, Tyler Wotherspoon and the Portland Winthawks are in Vancouver tomorrow night, the game is on SNET ONE at 8:00 PM MT.

Good list, although I'd probably put Ramage in there somewhere simply on the basis that Feaster and company asked him to turn pro during this summer's development camp.
So the first half of Markus Granlund's season with HIFK is over and now it's national team time. Word is that he'll be on the first line at the WJC with his brother and Detroit prospect Teemu Pulkkinen.
26 games, 6 goals, 10 assists, +13. But that's a little misleading since he has 5 goals, 6 assists in the last 12 games since the fall break.
Everyone should do what they can to obtain the Calgary Flames Yearbook. Not only is it a quality publication, but it includes an interview I did with Abbotsford Heat head coach Troy Ward.
Well that and Holland and Joey Leach are still playing for an entry level NHL contract.
I'd be extremely disappointed if they even had a little doubt about Holland. 7th rounders seldomly develop into NHL players (in Calgary's recent history: Moss, and van der Gulik had a cup of coffee once), but IMO Holland has done more than enough to justify an ELC. Leach should be a no-brainer as well, simply because we don't have many D-prospects in juniors, Europe and college (just Ramage and Wotherspoon beside Leach).
Really good to see Arnold and guadreau continuing to have strong season in the ncaa. Anyone seen them play this year? Scouting report or summary would be nice.

Check out video here; gives you a hint of what they did earlier this year.
This video I believe is the one you are referring to. What's interesting is that Grimaldi (another highly skilled small guy that's a year older and drafted much higher in the 2011 draft than Gadreau) is also playing in this game.

And Laurent Brossoit earned a win and 26 saves on 29 shots in a 6-3 win over Victoria. Brossoit is showing nice progress IMO. I mean yes, the Oil Kings are a very good team this year and they have won 10 straight, but that couldn't be the only reason for his good numbers. Brossoit has been a workhorse for Edmonton (he has played 28 games out of 33) and his stats have improved considerably compared to last year:
2010/11: 34 games, 13-12-2, 3.32 GAA, .887% svs, 2 SO
2011/12: 28 games, 19-07-1, 2.38 GAA, .915% svs, 1 SO
thanks for the link, this confirms my impression of Brossoit. I mean he basically allows a whole goal less per game compared to last year! Hopefully he can develop into a good young goaltender for us during the next years.
Kinda strange that HF is talking about Reinhart & Ferland vying for World Junior roster spots when they [a] got cut on Monday and [b] the final roster was already named on Wednesday.
I'm pleasently surprised to read that he was considered a "steal" and a "hidden gem". His numbers are significantly better than last season as devo22 showed.
I'm not giving up hope on Ortio yet, because he is a really young goalie yet. I just hope he gets playing time now. It also must be pretty hard on Ortio who is a backup goaltender (and sometimes the third-stringer) behind one of the best goalies in the AHL, not to mention being in the best division in the AHL.

Not to mention their new rankings for the Flames prospects. Horak behind Wahl and Howse is laughable. Not to mention Bouma being behind Negrin, Cameron, and Patterson.

Kind of a #### sandwich for Ortio, it seems. I hate it when goalies move to NA too early. If you're not ready you just get bounced around and can't form secure relationships with good goalie coaches.
