To the losers who constantly grab airplanes - STOP IT.
1) You have no idea how to use the jet effectively
2) You go the entire mission without killing anyone or suiciding into a building / the ground
3) You end up getting shot down by a Stinger anyways
4) You suck a dog fights
Seriously, if you don't know how to use the planes effectively, grab a tank or some other vehicle and use that.
I know I need more practise with the jets because I can't do **** when I am using one. So instead of trying to "practise" in the middle of a CTF or Rush, I don't use one. It's pretty simple.
You're a waste of a roster spot.
i don't mind people screwing around in jets because there's no way to practice offline and they're single seaters. what bugs me is a doofus who takes a chopper and then lawndarts it into a hill as soon as i spawn inside (and you CAN practice the helicopter's with a friend in co-op)
Flag captures (you get like 200 points for a neutralize and 250 for a capture), Attack orders & resurrections.
I went 6-10 one round k/d, but managed to get 3000 points for 2nd overall on my team (which won). I set 2 bombs (500 points!) on Rush mode and resurrected at least 10 of my own team (100 points each!). Dropping the med packs (w/ squad bonus), team respawns help too.
Being is a squad really helps get extra points.
Team stuff really helps you get score overall.
Also, sticking with 1-2 other guys who are assaulting really helps - I can throw down med kits and resurrect them for lots of score and occasionally get a kill.
they've totally fixed the medic paddles from Bad Company 2 which is awesome. now you can't be resurrected endlessly straight into enemy fire, and when you are res'd it removes the death from your k/d counts. there is now zero reason not to try and res everyone you can, especially on conquest and rush offense as it gives you a team ticket back
Also, sniping is crazy hard for me on PS3. I can't level the recon with the base Sniper rifle at all. Need to unlock much better rifles in order to have a chance.
Also Khel, if you're an engineer do one of 2 things:
Go into Repair mode / grab a vehicle - you can always get some easy kills, then repair your vehicle when it takes damage - you can also be moderately aggressive and get some flag captures, however, this can be kind of risky since you're pretty exposed. I really like the light tracks.
Go offensive / flag defender mode - lay down as many mines as you can in popular crossings and get a support guy to restock you. They don't expire, so you can be running around later and you'll receive 400 random points for killing 2 people and blowing up a vehicle. Do it as soon as the mission starts and every time you respawn. Use your rpg lots too or stinger if you forsee a lot of aircraft.
Heres the problem, I wanna fly a jet but as soon as I get into it I get locked on and shot down, I can get flares but can't stay in a jet long enough to get the points to get flares. It sucks that if you didn't start leveling Jets and Copters from day 1 its almost impossible now.

But as far as I can see, no vendors are supporting it and are instead, doing an Intel promotion. Right now at MemEx, NCIX, etc. if you buy an Intel i7 CPU or an Intel SSD, you can get BF3 free.
I'm likely to go for one of the hardware + game bundles as hardware is something I can always use and since the alternative is to buy BF3 anyway, it's basically a $60 coupon on an Intel i7 CPU or SSD (unfortunately Intel SSDs are all on the pricey end).
Has anybody heard anything regarding the videocard + BF3 deal?
haha that was the exact same spot where I stopped the single player too. A shame, because visually it's pretty stunning. Would love to keep playing it but way to frustrated by being forced to compete missions in such ridiculous fashion.
I actually went back and finished the single player because I was bored and needed something to do, but holy hell it sucks.
The story sucks, the characters suck, everything about it sucks. You get involved in hand to hand combat, and they force you to press keys in a certain way and if you miss out on that you die.
Just a dumb, dumb game on single player.
MW2 was awesome on single player, and I hated the story too.
