Well, OK. But for anyone watching just the show, he got shot in the eye. Maybe doctor girl could have taken a brief moment to explain. Or maybe next episode.

It was the same for me when I watched the show, looked to me to be shot square in the eye.

Maybe they'll mention it next episode? Seems silly to react so quickly given we only saw him move his fingers at the end.

I heard that too. Carrie Underwood was a lot better than I thought she would be on there. I imagine it may be possible but it's a one in a million shot.

I totally understand this appeals to a lot of people so I'm not going to call anyone out on it but I would prefer a slightly slower episode with some quality story over the blockbuster move excess feel of this one.

Agree on the directors, you never know what kind of show you're in for.
The scene at the end where the whole group went to town on the zombies was great, the quick flashes were straight out of a comic book, the whole episode stayed really true to the book, which was a nice change.
I would disagree on the nonsensical death comment, it wasn't quite done right, in the comic (not a spoiler but some peeps are sensetive......)
I thought they could have made that scene more gut wrenching. Overall that was a great episode.

Well obviously it was "lucky" it didn't kill him, but every show manufactures tension and drama.
It shouldn't be surprising in a show about zombies that sometimes people get lucky and don't die. Let's be clear, it's a show about zombies so I'm not sure why people are nitpicking a "one in a million" shot.

My biggest pet peeve with that episode was that it took like 3 hacks to chop that skinny woman's hand off and yet moments later he goes on a rage fueled rampage with that very same, evidently blunt, hatchet.

This isn't right; haven't you ever tried to dismember a body? The wrist is really tough to get through cleanly, especially without a chopping block behind it. I'll tell you, this one time, I was...
erm, that is...
Nothing. I misunderstood. Carry on.

hitting a wrist in the air would move so much that it only taking 3 chops is more unrealistic than 3 being too many, no matter how sharp it is. But when you hit someone/thing in the head there wouldn't be as much give.

Honestly, for me this show is a guilty pleasure for me. I just sit back and enjoy the violence and the occasional "holy ####" moment. I don't see why so many take it so seriously, that would just take the fun out of it in my opinion.

She's human, thus strong bones, tissue, etc.. The walkers are squishy and easier to dismember.

You have to think they'll do a time skip so Carl isn't just laying in bed for 6 more episodes and half the episode is Rick next to his bed. Hopefully they do that at least.

Carl miraculously has his eye shot out yet no brain or skull damage and we are again trolled with Glenn using another of his 9 lives to escape another seemingly imminent death. This show has done things better in past episodes/seasons but this one was one of the more sloppier episodes to date.

I disagree. The show really wouldn't work without some main characters surviving. We'd just have complaints about too many superficial characters. While GoT does kill large characters, they also have a staple of main characters who clearly won't die until close to the end, if at all.
WD has killed characters like Tyrese, Bob, Shane, etc.. While GoT makes characters like Danaerys invincible.
