Great win in Kansas City for Canada. Tani Oluwaseyi really impressed me.

That was fantastic, Canada showed really really well. The Americans were missing some big names (Weah, Dest to name a couple) but so was Canada with Kone and Buchanan out of the lineup too.
Ahmed is a beast. That guy is going to be damn threat on the right side for years to come. Might be my most thrilling CMNT player going under the radar.

Happy for JM given his US debacle. Great guy, had a chance to say hi to him about a month ago.
And, like Herdman, has a plan for these players in how he wants them to play (fast, aggressive) and makes sure they are doing it at their club. Most importantly, he has buy in, Copa America and now a win like this (67 years in the making) can only enhance the team confidence and buy in to his style.

Quote:
The United States men's national team suffered its first home loss to Canada in 67 years, as it continued its struggles from this summer's Copa América in Saturday's friendly in Kansas City, Kansas.
In its first game since exiting the Copa América at the group stage and the subsequent removal of Gregg Berhalter as head coach, the U.S. was well beaten by its neighbors to the north.

Fun fact about Jesse Marsch…
He’s been making his rounds since his hire in Canada. A couple weeks ago, youth soccer nationals (U15 and U17) were in Edmonton. Marsch not only attended, but he ran training sessions for teams in attendance. A friend of mine coaches one of the teams that went and he said it was brilliant,
Love what he’s doing so far in this country.

The CSA and the players for both the men's and women's teams have agreed to a framework for a CBA. Will be contingent on renegotiating the CSB deal.
I just want to be able to watch CPL and NSL in person, while supporting both national teams in a city they never visit, when this whole ordeal is done. Hopefully that is not too much to ask.

Word is that the Trudeau government were going to legislate them back to the pitch if they didn't settle.

Interesting from Blue to push this back to the CSB and put the pressure on them to change something. Good for him.
CSB either looks like the good guy or the bad guy now, but it will take a fair chunk of change out of their (and the CPL's) expected cash flows.

And in response today, CSB says that they gave the CSA a "landmark" proposal 6 weeks ago.
Clearly not good enough for the CSA but this isn't going to end any time soon.
Big game tonight, Mexicans have a new coach since Copa so they'll come out with a bit of jump.

Mexico going full Concacaf with 15 fouls in the first 30, and 2 yellow cards already.

A win and draw against the US and Mexico, light years ahead of where we used to be and I’d say now back at the level from WCQ
