Also to your point I'm pretty sure his Right winger last year had a carrer year playing along side him.

So like RNH he is not a line driver. Maybe he has so many intangibles that he is worth 75% more. But their offensive numbers are similar.

More lazy analysis.
People want to say how bad of a year Lindholm had this season but he only struggled scoring goals which was due to the fact he didn’t get to play with the best playmaker on the team. Lindholm had the second highest assist total of his career and Toffoli went on to beat his best season significantly
Gaudreau had 99 and 115 points in the 2 years he played with Lindholm from start to finish. Without Lindy Johnny has been a 70-75ish point player. Monahan didn’t touch 80pts before or after the one year he had Lindholm on his wing.
Nuge is playing with at least one of the 2 best centers in the league one the best power play’s in the history of the league where Nuge got more than half of his points last year. You talk about him averaging 70pts over the past 4 years but last year was the first time he actually exceeded 70pts in his career. The guy misses games every year and has only found success recently by switching to the wing.

I didn't say there wasn't a difference you nonce. I am pointing out that what you said brought literally nothing to the conversation, and that an Oiler homer could easily say the same thing about RNH without much effort.
This comment is even worse. What exactly should I be watching? Are you suggesting I actually subject myself to watching oilers games?

Except you can't say the same about Nuge over his career. Other than last year, Lindholm has done better with or without good players on his line. RNH is a 40-60 point player normally.
Would RNH score 22 goals and 64 points with Tyler Toffoli as his winger? I think not. In fact, Toffoli probably doesn't score 34 goals and 73 points with RNH either. He didn't with Carter, Kopitar or Suzuki.

I probably would have had 80 on the Oilers powerplay
RNH would have had half that on the Flames last season, if he was lucky

Your post could literally be countered just by someone saying the same thing Jiggy said but replacing RNH with Lindy.
My point was never that RNH and Lindy are equal players. It's that this statement about it requires high hockey IQ to get points from top players is ####ing stupid. Frankly it seems like you may actually agree with this but as usual you're both focused on trying to argue rather than actually reading anything. Dino, your reply actually directly defeats this statement from Jiggy. But I don't think you really know where you are most of the time so I'm not expecting you to understand.

What do you guys think about Toews? If Backlund leaves can we sign Toews cheaper deal to play 3rd line center? And may be we can trade Hanifin for Nylander or just for draft picks and sign Patrick Kane? I'm just bored.

From the year end interviews it looked to me as though Toews is done. When a hockey player starts contemplating retirement, he's as good as retired.
As for Kane, he won't be fully healthy to start the season. The current speculation is that he will sign with a contender before the deadline, once he is healthy.
Hanifin for Nylander, would be hard to achieve. First of all the Flames don't have the cap space. Second of all Toronto has quite a few D already. I'm not sure what's the Status of Muzzin, but Toronto has Rielly, Brodie, Klingberg, McCabe, Liljergren, Timmins, and Gio on D. Finally, that would leave the Flames in the same situation when it comes to UFA's. They'll have to overpay Nylander to keep him in that scenario.

What are you using the old english definition?
This is similar to saying that Goof only means sexual offender too.
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nonce
(Britain, slang, derogatory) A stupid or worthless person. [2002]
Shut it, ya nonce!
This was the meaning intended. My sincere apologies that you thought I called you a rapist or purveyor of sexual assault. I actually have never heard it used in that sense before, so I am sorry.

RNH's playoff performance proved that his 100 point season was an aberration and likely the result of a trickle down from a 30% PP and two elite offensive players.

I think I heard that Toronto wants upgrade D and sign another G. And they are now 8 million over the cap. So I thought Hanifin & Vladar may be good trade for Nylander. And may be we can get a cap dump with him.

Pretty sure the pedo meaning is far more common (and has nothing to do with old english).
Out of curiosity I looked up how it’s been used on CP and the only people aside from yourself that have used it have been two of the English posters, both referring to child molesters lol.
The more you know.

*Yooooo you don’t know maaaannn, that if you call someone who’s been in prison a “goof” that they’ll probably kill you over it… maaaannnnnn. *
I heard this so often in my teenage years that it’s forever burned into my brain. But I still call my kid a goofball… because I’m not a ####ing nutcase.
