Furnace is running full blast tonight to simulate a 24deg overnight outside temperature.

Now I just need to find out how to simultaneously run the AC as well to keep the house a cool 19C.

Delicate sensibilities. Some people aren’t ok with having their viewpoints challenged. Timun is a prime example of someone who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room and puts people on ignore any time he’s wrong. Source: I’m on his ignore list for that exact reason.

The masses always get bent about the 'heat wave' and whine about needing AC when we have our annual 7-14 day run of 30ish weather - and then it's over. Not a single day is forecasted to hit above 26 through the last week of the month and by that time Calgary is fully entering Fall mode.

I at least applaud that the city is waiting until the end of the month to pull the cord on water again when it's actually fully cooled down, but it is probably only because nobody bothered to proactively source necessary materials in time to do it earlier lol.

Get used to it people...we are going to be dealing with on/off water restrictions for the next 2-3 years while this dumpster fire is repaired and eventually fully remedied. Get ready for the property tax burden from hell too - green line, water line, event center.....the increases that have been coming the last few years are going to look like child's play comparatively.

I know you're half joking but I'll just say that given that the airport has enough gates to continue operating, I'm not sure there's any reason to be annoyed with the airport aside from not being quicker at getting people out of Concourse B when the ceiling became a waterfall, but those procedures are being reviewed.

WestJet isn't doing a stellar job at rebooking people, managing the cancellations and communication... but as I said earlier they were already short planes coming into summer and now are in a world of hurt with a bunch down with hail damage. They were supposed to get 8 new planes this year from Boeing, but because Boeing is a gongshow they have gotten only one.

So I guess in order of who one should be most annoyed at it's probably

a) mother nature
b) WestJet customer service
c) Boeing
d) YYC for not having a massive inflatable dome to cover the entire terminal area during hail events
