Certainly did that on purpose. He was taken out of the game anyway, but that should be a toss.

It was a cluster #### of a play where Gurriel was at 2nd base. Grichuk hit a grounder up the middle that Gurriel was trying to advance on. The Orioles 2nd baseman botched the throw and it got away. Gurriel was trying to score when the Orioles pitcher pulled what can only be described as a pick and Gurriel ran into him.

Gurriel was running to 3rd. The SS tried to throw him out but it was wild. Gurriel rounded 3rd for home, and while the 3B was off trying to get the ball, the pitcher just ran to the baseline and nailed Gurriel. Some of the most blatant baserunning interference I've ever seen.

Abreu with the 3 run bomb hurts Guerrero's triple crown chances but sure helps the team cause. The OOT looks good so far tonight.

And halfway down the third baseline. Gurriel tried avoiding the collision, but it looked like the pitcher just thought, screw it, here is a shoulder check.

Yep. Jays pitchers were struggling tonight. Only a matter of time before they really got burnt. Boston and New York are down big. Just need to comeback tomorrow and sweep the double header.
Also. That stupid Mullins bunt was the catalyst. Tough outing for Merryweather.

Figures
Yankees lost, and the Red Sox are losing. If that holds at least we don't lose ground, but goddamit Jays. You have to ####ing beat Baltimore.
Could have been in a playoff spot tonight.

I didn't want to jynx it before the game but Jays were almost due for a L, especially after that high intensity series against the Yanks and then letting their guard down a bit probably. Got it out of their system and hopefully this lights a bit of a fire under their arses and they go get the next 3.
