I certainly wouldn’t trust him in game three in the playoffs. I’d go Kikuchi because he has proven that he doesn’t get completely teed off on when things aren’t going well. Even in less than optimal starts this season, Kikuchi has kept the team in the game. Bassitt has been completely caved in multiple times and this isn’t a team that can make up for that type of start.

That’s fair but the Jays have 4 of the top 32 starters in qualified ERA this season
The fact we aren’t running away with the AL is a joke . Our offence should be ashamed

That’s true. Bassitt has been boom or bust and Kikuchi has been steady (who’d have thunk it?).
You are right. The indictment really is on the bats and on management for not doing their jobs in addressing the issues with bats. They knew that we’d take a step backwards this season without Hernandez, Gurriel, and to a much lesser extent Moreno and when it became clear that the regression was a lot more than expected, they twiddled their thumbs.
Having a great bullpen is awesome. Having to only use your great high leverage guys on a semi-regular basis because the team has built big leads is even better.

Fire Martinez and ask Bautista or Edwin to stay the rest of the season.

Another frustrating game not won. The good news is that the OOT wasn't totally bad today. Rays and Stros won but Yanks, Red Sox & now the Ms lost.
Highlight of today was obviously the Joey Bats enshrinement.

Can this offence score 3 runs ? Just can’t be booting that ball with Ryu on the mound and the way they have been hitting

Been a long time since we’ve seen a Jay hit a ball like that . Those are the right down the middle ones we usually miss
