Not exactly going out on a limb but I will predict right now that the love triangle will end in the death of one or both of the characters not named Carl.
I'm just saying it was consistent contextually and with the character development.

So it lookes like Negan isn't associated with the Wolves.

Seems like a big let down, after hyping and foreshadowing the Wolves for a season and a half, they seem to be nothing more than a roving gang of miscreants.

The thing about Carl's mercy is that it's another instantiation of the philosophical argument between Carol and Morgan. Will letting Ron off the hook result in Ron becoming better, like Morgan did? Or will it just bite Carl in the ass somehow later on down the road?

Not to sound completely negative, but I'm finding a lot of the characters annoying right now.

- Glenn: WHY is he insisting that Enid (who is so over-the-top angsty, it's hard to watch) come with him? She's obviously capable of handling herself outside the walls. Does he really think he needs the help of a moody teenager?
- Carl: the drama between him and Jessie's son is hilarious. From the slap-fight to Carl's pep-talk "My dad killed your dad, but your dad was an #######!" and "Your dad is a killer too!". Then the other kid has a moment of clarity and everything is good and let's work together!
- Morgan: he's my least favourite (main) character right now, even though coming into this season I was really looking forward to more of him.
- The Doctor: I can't remember her name, but a few episodes ago she was scared of her own shadow, and now she's helping & counselling a brutal, unapologetic killer? Not buying it.
- Almost every character Alexandria has introduced, with the exception of Aaron and Jessie. The worst ones have been Deanna & her sons, Enid, Nicholas, Jessie's sons, etc. They've been some of the worst characters in the whole show. I'm happy to see this place fall apart, hopefully for good.

All that being said, I'm still a huge fan and I'll still continue to watch, because I know that this show can definitely deliver on huge points. I'm looking for a lot more shock to the second half of the season though, and I really hope they don't disappoint. I'm really interested in what's going to happen with this new group that Daryl/AB/Sasha run into. Are these the same guys that threesome was running from? Lots to look forward to.

Really? I thought the opposite. He told Daryl, Sasha and Abraham that all their stuff belongs to him. It would explain why the invaders had no guns. Someone clearly confiscated all of their stuff, which is why they own nothing except some crappy bludgeoning weapons that the leader allowed them to have.

We only had a glimpse of Negan's men. To me it felt that Negan is mainly interested in property otherwise his men would just gun down Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham. If he knew about Alexandria, a community with electricity, running water, and a defensible wall, I doubt he would do the things that the Wolves did, which was try to break down the walls let the zombies in and make the place unlivable for others, like they did for Noah's hometown. Negan, IMO, would want Alexandria intact so he could take what he wanted first then burn it to the ground.

Speaking of which, is Badlands any good? I've got them all on my PVR but havent sat down to watch them yet.

As for the show, I think they should have gone another 15 minutes into the story and had a real cliffhanger. Crap is about to get real!

The first episode of Badlands was not great. The second was a big improvement and the third has shown there may be some depth to it. I'm still on the fence, as the fights are overly choreographed for my liking and the main character, Sunny, is kinda flat. It's not like this is Fargo quality TV, but it may turn out to be a reasonable show.

These shows always crack me up because the name of the villain can never be a normal one. It can't be "Your stuff now belongs to Steve". It's the Governor, Negan, etc

Have you seen baby names these days? There is no normalcy anymore.

Also - and I've read the comics but legitimately don't remember - Negan might be the dude's last name?

Oh, I'm aware. I've told my wife I need to be named as the federal Name Commissioner.

let's pump the brakes a bit, any more conjecture about this mysterious new character is quickly going to devolve into Game of Thrones "educated guess/masterful deduction" territory, and this place is going to get messy when those predictions start magically coming true.

that being said, be happy the guy has a cool unique name. given the trends in baby names, a few years down the road that guy could be declaring "All your stuff now belongs to Connor."

I still don't understand what all the bitching is about from fans. This show is about entertainment. It isn't Masterpiece Theatre. Why do we expect so much from a show about a zombie apocalypse? It's a horror based drama...based off a comic book. If you get a halfway plausible plot, and character development that actually resembles a real human being you're lucky. Quite frankly this show has pretty exceptional writing considering the genre and source material.

I really like just about every episode of this show. There was a period early on in the 2nd season that I felt like the show labored to get to a point, but once they did it was worth the wait. There are peaks and valleys for sure, but overall this is one of the more enjoyable and engaging shows on television. It's not perfect, but I don't watch for perfection, I watch to be entertained.

I, for one, am looking forward to the rest of the season.

I just can't watch this show anymore... it's so bad. The dialogue and acting makes me cringe half the time. Rick and the undead are carrying the show so far imo.

Why so? The source material is pretty great.

As a viewer from the start I think this show has "jumped the shark" in that they are just recycling ideas good and bad "Zombie Guts". Thankfully the great shows in history know when to end (Breaking Bad).

I really think this show needs an ending before it completely falls of the rails. Continue on with Fear the Walking Dead and call it a day. Start another series called "Chill the Walking Dead" about zombies up north. Either way this Hillbilly Walking Dead has run its coarse.

Completely disagree. One of my favorite things that this show brings is a very well paced and balanced drama to a genre that has mostly dealt in campy or simply comedy in the past. As a fan of the source material I gotta say that they (writers/producers) are doing a great job to even keep fans of the comics guessing as to what is going to happen next.

The introduction of Negan, which began in episode 7 with the characters that attacked Abraham, Sasha & Daryl....and the characters that stole Daryl's crossbow, is an exciting new story line that will see this show hit new territories of dark. (side note: go back & watch episode 7, the scene where the character gets his arm chopped off and listen to the dialogue between the men to get a glimpse into Negan's nature)

I'm excited to see where this all going and what's to come, and while yes, every great show deserves a great ending, this one still has yet to explore a lot of material before it gets there.

Perhaps it appeals to those who are familiar with the comics, but as a casual viewer i've got 2 or 3 episodes left before I tune out for good.

Please bring me something different than another opposing group of malcontents that they have to deal with.
