Agreed. Just finished it. Very enjoyable.

And yes …Apple +.

I saw Mario Bros today, and I really liked it. I wish I loved it, but it's still a 7.5/10. Can't think of a movie more packed full of easter eggs than Super Mario Bros.

The way Mario's voice was addressed was clever.

Just watched. I read somewhere a long time ago there was some sketchy stuff involved with Tetris, but didn't know any of the details. The movie was gripping from start to finish.

Also liked the non serious tone and the use of humour playing against fantasy expectations. Only real gripe was the final act change from a fun heist movie to needing to save the world but it somehow still kind of worked and stuck the landing. 9/10
I'd gove it more like 7 out of 10, but it's a very good seven.

Very few things in the movie are particularly great, but it's also never boring or bad, and if you want a consistently fun D&D movie that's got exactly about as much depth as your average character backstory, this is it.

It's not elevating itself beyond the premise at all (like a Lego movie for example), but it also successfully meets the expectations of most people for a movie like this.

It's entertaining, it's D&D, it has a good chance to get a sequel and if it does, I'll go see that too.

I took the whole family to Mario movie and we all had a great time. I mean story and plot-wise it’s a little thin and I could’ve done without some of the licensed music but it was really fun, great visuals, tons of references, lots of action, and the original soundtrack is phenomenal. Movie is gonna absolutely slay the box office for the next month.

If you’re only a very casual Mario fan or non-fan I can see it being a very generic 5/10 kids movie (which it appears most of the critics are) but for mega fans like me it’s an easy 9/10 lol.

I have no idea what people are on about....Shazam 2 was great.

Pacing, characters, story, all of it. That was probably DC's best film. I thought it was really good.

Its not going to win any Oscars or anything...but it was perfect and fun for what it was.

Holy crap people...when a movie knows what its going to be, says what its going to be and then delivers that...you cant be upset with what you got.

The Place Beyond The Pines is a modern day masterpiece, I really hope it gets more exposure somehow and will be more known and well regarded. I watched it in theatres 10 years ago and just saw it for the 2nd time, and I loved it even more. Every one is so well cast and gives a terrific performance.

Also Manhunter is amazing, I have the DVD and it kicks ass I really enjoyed it.

The Woman King is epic and has some of the best fight scenes coupled with a great emotional hero's journey. Viola Davis is amazing in this, if you are a fan of movies like 300 then I highly recommend giving this a watch.

Murder Mystery 2 is typical Adam Sandler Schtick. Has some funny moments but relies on the same ole same ole not funny stuff. 5/10

The Ritual Killer with Morgan Freeman is a disjointed mess. Lots of what the F's and an ending that is nothing more than strange. Felt bad that Morgan lent his name to this.
4/10

Dungeons & Dragons was very enjoyable, for what it is and the genre I'd give it a 8/10.

Operation Fortune, made a point to watch it for Aubrey Plaza alone. She was great along with Hugh Grant but it was very forgettable and forced as most Guy Ritchie movies can be.

I remember this movie, having seen it many years back....watched the trailer and I only barely recall it, but do remember it as absolutely excellent. Will rewatch!

As a complete aside, whenever I see the title, it reminds me of the song "In the Pines" by Leadbelly, and delivered in one of the most awesome, ragged, tortured performances I can recall, by Nirvana on MTV:

Watched Dungeons and Dragons. Really enjoyed it too. The characters were done well and the comedic aspects were great. Only complaint was that the last act seemed to start and end really fast. It felt like there could have been a bit more there to draw out the gravity of the villain and event. But still great!

Would it be enjoyable for somebody who knows nothing about Dungeons and Dragons?

I think so. Just more or less generic fantasy.

My DM's wife knows nothing about D&D and enjoyed herself.

Is it sad that I know exactly what this means and that I genuinely chuckled at the thought of a DM and his oblivious wife going to this movie together?

I dont think so. I think its hilarious.

If anything, I would imagine that someone who doesn't know their D&D is not distracted by their brain going "Ok so that druid just used a whole lotta 'wild shape's in one go, is this intended to hint that she's secretly some super high level character or otherwise not what she appears?"

(No, it was just cool for the scene.)

Yeah. My wife is not a D&D, fantasy, magic, or anything related fan. But she enjoyed it. Chris Pine helped. But she still thought it was fun.

I have zero knowledge of D&D and completely was into it, also never realized that I'm such a huge fan of Chris Pine and Hugh Grant.
