I feel great knowing that Goins is there, behind Travis and Barney in the event something happens. As a depth guy you sure can do a lot worse than Ryan Goins. Problem is, you can't count on any offence out of him, he's there for his glove. Hits are just a bonus if you are forced in to a situation where Goins plays.

I can see Goins making the playoff roster, but that is based off the current roster(including Navarro). That could change in trades happen.

Sounds like Thole is DFA land after Sunday. So I see Martin catching Dickey for the rest of the season, with Navarro catching Estrada. I guess we will see.

Sounds like Thole is DFA land after Sunday. So I see Martin catching Dickey for the rest of the season, with Navarro catching Estrada. I guess we will see.

I don't see any way Liriano gets into the rotation ahead Sanchez.

I'd also bet Navarro catches more than every sixth day down the stretch - they'll want to get Russell as much rest as they can.

Correct. Gibbons even said just yesterday I believe that there is zero chance Sanchez pitches out of the bullpen this year.

Must have missed that. Swap Lirinao for Sanchez on my roster then.

The Jays have DFA'd Loup(yay!!!), and called up Schultz. And Travis, Saunders, and Pillar should be all back in the lineup today.

And with Sanchez in the rotation, you can add Liriano to the pen, likely taking Cecil's spot as things stand.

If it were me, I would also throw Pompey on the playoff roster like we did last year, and right now it would be Goins that I would remove from your list to make room for him.

If we have Lirinao taking Cecil's spot they have a 6 man bullpen. So Goins and Pompey could make the roster.

Oh right, I double counted Sanchez. It's doubtful they only take 10 pitchers to the post season, at least to start. Which likely means Cecil, Schultz, Loup, and Tepera would alternate between the last guy. But who knows, they could roll with 10 if they are confident in them - at least to start.

Won't see our best lineup for min 2 more games.

It may look like we will (finally) be without Thole, but with the roster expansion being Wednesday he won't even moss one of Dickey's starts.
