WAR isn't an exact science, but as far as baseball goes it's as close as it comes to a perfect all encompassing measure of a players value (position players more so, pitchers WAR is imperfect science IMO).

Yeah I know what the numbers say, but Travis' D scares me. It didn't for the most of the year, but it has the past few weeks. Big scores cover up poor D, but when we we are in one of our offensive ruts, 1 run can really screw us.

I hope not. He has no business playing over Travis or Barney. Will definitely be on the expanded roster but he if he's doing more than pinch running, it will be because someone is hurt.

Right but the team already has Donaldson, Bautista, Edwin, Tulo, Martin, Travis, Upton, Saunders. I'm not saying start Ryan, but don't you want the defensive specialist to come off the bench in the post season for Travis?

Because you need bats off the bench too. Barney can be both.
