I've been watching Varsho's at bats for a while now and I hate everything about his approach, his set up, and his swing. Mechanics are poor, timing mechanisms are not helping him, and he seems really off-balance when he swings. He needs a real hitting coach in the worst way.

Yeah, this team and it's acquisitions are just 'safe'. Give up as little as possible for reclamation projects. Total opposite of AA who went for it. This front office would never trade 4 guys for Donaldson. They would never trade to get Reyes or trade Reyes to get Tulo.

With all the late inning and 1 run losses you gotta wonder what the results would be if they had 2021 Vlad. So many winnable games just a knock or two away. I even look at his AB in the 7th and wonder. The Jays rattled off 3 straight hits and were making a push. Vlad then drew a walk. Not a terrible result by any means but he also fouled back a hanger that he should've crushed. That's a situation where you want your big boys to come through so the pressure doesn't fall to the 5-6-7 guys. If Vlad splits the fielder's there I think the Jays are off to the races. They absolutely need more from him and if shows big time.

TBH. I would trade Vladdy in the off season. I don't think he is even going to be elite or even great. Get something for him while you can.
Though I don't trust Atkins in a trade.
