I don’t think catching the Yankees was ever really possible. Much rather hope the As win. Great to have both Rays and Orioles lose tonight as well.

Thought if we swept them in the next series we'd have an outside shot, but need teams like the Pirates not to blow a 4 run lead in the 9th.

Lol, Kikuchi is trending on Twitter and he didn’t even pitch tonight, he only warmed up. That’s how passionately Jays fans are terrified of him.

This years version of the Yankees irritate me more than previous versions of the Yankees. Probably because its a fluke of a season propped up by one of the flukiest individual seasons you will ever see. Was really hoping the Jays would find a way to catch those clowns. Good for Judge though. That 500 million dollar contract is going to look silly when he comes back to earth next year.

Mariners losing to the As and the Orioles losing to the Tigers was a nice bonus

Plus the Astros are handling the Rays.

After we play the Rays they really have a tough end of season schedule. Nine day road trip in Houston, Cleveland and Boston. Provided we don’t #### the bed in the trop this weekend (like get one win) I think we’re in a good spot to be ahead of them. Seattle is the tough one as their schedule is a joke. However so far they seem to be losing a lot to the bad teams. They just lost 4/5 against bottom feeders but I don’t see that continuing.

I see the wild card standings being Tampa in third and us and Seattle fighting for first in the wild card. Orioles and the central are done.

I still think playing the ALC is the best outcome (WC3) if you can't get ALE title but at this point I'm cool with anyone except the Mariners. They're beatable but they're giving off some scary vibes from their pitching and offense.

3 strikeouts is a nice way for Gausman to start the game
