Savage is terrible.

Whats worse is that he won the Ref of the Year award this year.

Now there have been some terrible winners in the past (Steve Kozari) but the fact that anyone thinks this jackass is doing anything close to a good job is scary.

It feels like the WHL is trying to push him out of the league by convincing others that he's actually good. His winning the ref of the year rather invalidates that award completely.

I always figured he and Herman would be lifers in the dub...

What a weird note in history the Hitmen look like they will become. Don't lose a game till the final and then don't win a single game. What are the odds against that?

Ref of the Year is treated like prom king in teenage romantic comedies. Have you ever seen Angus? Fat kid is elected prom king as a joke by the school jock (James van der Beek) so everyone can have a good laugh.

Pretty sure that's what has happened to Savage and others in the past.

As an example Backlund's "vivid offensive imagination" because he got his stick on the loose puck after Calgary's hot potato routine and then directs it more as a reaction then anything, at the net and it finds the back of the net?

I did the same thing at shinny last night but didn't have announcers falling all over that play as brilliant.
