Thanks! I think now that I know how to do it, it'll change everything for me in how I shoot. I really wanted to know how to get that "fake" look, but also take a photo and have proper exposure, like in a sun-set to have a "real" look too (like my first one). IE: Have the sunset but also the foreground exposed properly. It's going to be friggin awesome. I just need a better tripod.

Adobe Photoshop. But careful, it's easy to get carried away. While I think there are some great photographers in this thread, personally (and professionally), I think some of them have ruined their shots by going too crazy with the editing effects. Then again, I'm the kind of the person who thinks the best photoshop is the one where you can't tell you used photoshop.

I do, but it's 50mb+ and I have a really spotty wireless connection right now, so I'm not sure how to put the file up. When I do, I'll send you a link to it.

Thanks. I think i've exhausted all available HDR shots that I can make except one taken a few days ago in Cochrane. I know a lot of people dislike the "fake" look, but I love it in some shots. I'm a little undecided in this one, but it looks neat anyways.

Hoping someone can help me out here. I was trying to take some lightning shots the other day. I just couldn't get it to work well for me. If I left the shutter open for to long, I get an image like the white wash one. If I didn't leave it open long enough it was just black or low light like the other image. Any hints or suggestions?

Keep in mind, Kevin's images are simple and elegant... not over the top "cartoon looking", like the majority of HDR images are.
