Davies just mugged Di Maria in the box. No penalty?

Outmuscled followed by a trademark ratface flop.

Where else are you going to get an 18% return on a 99% probability?

As a bandwagoner at best. This is so cool.
Likely a dumb question incoming. Is this the first time Canada have played against Messi?

We played against him mere weeks ago in the opening match of this tournament.

Men against boys. This could get ugly. Bombito is terrible, shouldn’t be anywhere near the likes of Messi. Argentina have an all star team, and Messi is arguably their worst player.

I appreciate the attacking mindset from Marsch but maybe it would have been better to add an extra midfielder in place for Larin and try and go for a more defensive approach to try and get a goal late. But I do appreciate going for goals. With a little more precision there were chances to be had early on the counter

Out of curiosity, where in Argentina were you born?
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Beninho is right, this approach is crazy. Shaffelburg has been the most impressive Canadian player in this tournament, but he looks absolutely shattered after 40 minutes here.

Argentina is pretty much just playing keepaway until they get an opening. Canada when they have possession seem to be going for the hail mary. It seems to be more exciting and keeping Argentina on their toes to some degree, but Argentina looks to be calm and in control. Not sure why they're not pushing it up more. Playing it in the back end seems to be waiting for an errand pass for Canada to go in and score.
