Huberdeau has negative value. Kadri too, though it's increased significantly since about 35 games ago. Keep the liabilities and liquidate the assets.

Kadri will be getting paid about 100K a point this season. Not sure that is negative value.

Yeah, Kadri seems to be aging well. Some players buck the trend and don't fall off as drastically as they age. I think there are teams that would gamble on that contract still. He is also showing that he can lead young players.

Teams would probably pay close to that for the 56 points he got last season let alone the 70 points he is on pace for this season.

Hanifin has been offered the same thing - he has not said yes.

Which means his answer is no.

Sometimes, when people say “I don’t want kids” what they mean is “I don’t want kids with YOU” - Hanifin isn’t saying no because he doesn’t want $60M.

It’s because he doesn’t want to play here for the next eight years. Which I have zero issues with.
