Tkachuk signed a three year bridge by convincing Tre a long-term contract could be worked out in the last year of RFA. Now he's using the last year of RFA status to leave. Tre is a sucker, but Tkachuk is a snake lol.
Prior to this season, I believed this core couldn't win. I'm honestly not upset with a rebuild.

Seravalli agrees The Athletic list is incorrect. He says it’s a small list of 4-5 teams.
He says the Flames are not afraid to go past the arbitration hearing or start the season with Tkachuk if it means the Flames get the right trade.

It's not Trudeau's fault that the Flames built themselves with two keystone American players. There was nothing exceptional about Canada's COVID restrictions, and in fact many of the travel restrictions that impacted American players more, were American restrictions.
I get hating on Trudeau, but blaming him for this seems overboard.

I won't miss Tkachuk. Never really liked him that much anyways. Glad the Flames won't be building around him as captain for the next 8 years or something.

I don't know if coordinated but I think Tkachuk's choice was binary on whether Gaudreau signed. It will be coordinated if the Blue Jackets end up with Tkachuk lol
