Here we are. Of all the reasons for a bad season, those 4 deserve much of the blame.

Gaudreau has been fine for most of the season.
Monahan, tkachuk and Lindholm are offensively useless.

Monahan I'm not so sure about anymore. I think maybe it's time to trade him and get whatever we can for him. Dude's play has completely dropped off a cliff this year.

I think Monahan is playing better except for where his real value lies - his scoring attempts. I think he D, his forecheck, his passing and skating have all been way better. But it sure seems like his wrist shot is gone. I think his wrist is jelly.

This is crazy. Worst goaltending in almost a decade of darkness at that position. I hate to say it but Tre should have signed Smith instead of Markstrom.

Well, Lindholm was good at the beginning but tapered off about 6 weeks ago.

Well, Scheifele has produced more but I think Gaudreau has had the pick more and looked more consistently dangerous.

I can't remember watching a team so bad that flubs passes so often. Even the most simplistic of passes acts like a grenade to these players. It's as if their stick blades are half the size as what ever other team is using. I actually yelled at my monitor after watching Monahan mess up that pass. So frustrating.

These players are 100% the reason this rebuild has failed. Especially when you look at the North all these teams have 3-4 high end forwards and the Flames guys are nowhere near that tier.
They have only performed that way once and this team was second overall. If those 4 are ppg or better the Flames are in a playoff spot and have 4-5 more wins this season

Those numbers are actually decent...its was in the playoffs where things went of the rails many years

I know he scored but Lindholm has been worse than Monahan tonight and Mangiapane isn’t far behind. Not as bad as Chuckie though. Hell, I’ve noticed Nordstrom in a better light than any of those guys.

I agree with Morrison and Brouwer, the Lucic no-goal call was the wrong one.
He was shoved into the crease by Forbort, and Hellebyuck engaged with his stick and then tried to sell it (and was obviously successful).
When it rains, it pours I guess.

I think his efforts been okay. Way better than the rest of the higher end F’s. If Gaudreau had linemates playing better he would have way more points.
But he’s been off a few nights too, for sure. Still better than the rest of the top end guys, who have been borderline NHL player quality.

Just a fragile group. No one really inspires each other it seems. Hanifin did stick up for Tanev but the other scrums I see some guys skating away obliviously, cough Anderson cough.
These guys are seemingly quick to pack it in but where is their regression to the mean?
They have played well enough to be in the game but the adversity can’t just turn guys to jelly like it does without a serious lack of spine and confidence.
I think the nhl has successfully killed this group’s confidence with their game management this year and years prior. The NhL is a business not in the business of fair hockey but entertaining hockey.
Jonohan Johnny tachuck Benny Anderson markstrom ... all regressing this year. Puts treliving in a real rough place. I think he rushed the rebuild and had to hire his eventual replacement in sutter. I bet sutter is our next gm. It would explain why he looked so sheepish for such a big confident guy that day the team reintroduced sutter. He was introducing his future replacement.
Markstrom is just reflecting the group who gives up prime chances to skilled hungry talented fwds. It’s amazing it’s not 6 -1. Our fav outcome this year...against . Furlatt and the foot were the story of this game. But the flames have been gutless all year save some fine stuff from Tanev lucic and doc
Sigh this group has had its day in the sun and it was brief and uninspiring beyond a second place regular season finish. Big off-season coming.

Question for you all. Would anyone do Tkachuk for Laine? Laine has struggled in CBJ, but at least he is somewhat of a threat to score from anywhere on the ice with his shot. Which is what we've missed for a while now, that pure sniper.
and he probably won't be making $9m.
