GG disagrees. And will put his job on the line to prove it.

What is BT doing if you’re the one making all these moves? 😉

The Flames have 3 regulars on the roster who will legitimately not be playing in the NHL next season.

Not if Tre and Burke have something to say about it.

I'd agree with that. Can't see any team trading for Bennett where they trade a more established and better player, so this would be the way to go about it.

Time for a quick powerplay goal and get some optimism. This game isn't done yet.

Surprised to hear you would even consider trading the only elite skill player on the roster in Gaudreau.

If the flames really want to change the core, I think I would be fine with moving Monahan. He's as one dimensional as they come.

The fiest thing I would do as owner of this team is sit Treliving in a room and ask him to lay out his vision for how this team becomes a Stanley Cup contender.

Because I can’t figure it out from his actions. He must have thought they were a whole lot better than this.

I can't see them going that drastic, not with how teams rebound year to year in this league.

I'd:

1. Buyout Brouwer

2. Give Tkachuk Brouwer's "A", with a clear plan for Gio to pass him the C in 1-2 years.

3. Trade Brodie for a mid-round 1st (win the deal by getting a 2nd too? seems possible)

4. Sign Evander Kane

5. Trade defensive prospect(s) for young scoring winger of equal potential.

6. Make a coach change to either AV or Sutter. A proven quantity.
Yeah largely on the same page
The team is just not hard enough and don’t play complete games
You likely still need Johnny and Sean’s offense but I’m not sure they are guys that will win you to a run
I like the all around games of Tkachuk and Backlund. And I like Hamonics character on a team short on it. And gio is a great leader
So those are the guys I probably move forward with
But if someone wants to overpay for Johnny I take a hard look at it. Sell high and use that chip to replenish the assets and filll holes

Nice, I agree with almost all that...

trading Johnny, not an option, but I do firmly affix Chucky to the top line.
Brodie or Hamilton is out, preferably Brodie.
I fire all the coaches including goaltending
Trades are focused on picks, not players, unless I can do a package deal for an elite forward

That is a system issue imo. Gully is too focused on the underlying stats and maintaining possession, won’t let the players make quick jump plays because he’s scared of turnovers. He’s neutered the D which is the team’s strength.

I don’t agree with those saying the major issue is roster. I think roster needs tweaks but major issue is the system combined with player utilization.

“Trade Brodie for a mid-round 1st and a 2nd at the draft”

Like some of your ideas but that will never happen.

The NHL teams have pro scouts.

Why don't they flip Gio and Hamilton on the PP to get a better shooting angle? Too smart?
