Game was 2-1 at 5 on 5 with fairly even chances. Special teams skewed the score, but I didn't think that was a poorly played game considering the disparity in top NHL talent.

Calgary didn't have anywhere near a full lineup last week...Jets basically had their opening night roster

Not really. He's just been mediocre at best. I'd rather see Gillies as backup than Lack.

brutal special teams tonight. Real shame that none of the guys fighting for the 6th spot on D has stood out. really disappointing by those guys. Andersson I think should get the spot as he has looked the best.
Get the cuts going, and put the NHL roster together for the next 2 games.
and I think we should get a RW for this season. I don't think Foo is ready unfortunately. Jagr please?

Hire Jankowski, Hathaway and Andersson.
Shoot the rest into California. Minus Bartkowski because he's Gulutzan's favorite...
Hire Jagr.

I liked Monahan, Tkachuk, Dube and Jankowski. Lazar and Hrvik were decent enough. Poirier didn't do badly but wasn't noticeable either. Foo needs to get his brain to NHL speed. Hathaway and Cramarossa were just sorta there. Gadzik had one job and messed it up.
Stone is a number 5 and it showed. Andersson was good. No one else on D was good. Lack seems to lose track of the puck a lot and was giving up rebounds a fair bit.

Who cares about the score.
Jankowski is an NHL player, with some upside.
Bartkowski is not.
Foo needs time.
Poirier didn't look any worse than Lazar.
Lazar was just ok, and I think it was his best game yet. Looks like a fourth liner that can chip in 6-8 goals and hustle every shift.
Andersson is superior to any of Kulak/Bart/Wotherspoon.
Dillon Dube will be a rockstar for this team.
Lack was hung out to dry on grandma's clothespin after a long day of laundry, looked like an adequate back-up goalie to me.

They didn't have Tkachuk and Monahan because of injury. I forget who else was missing up front - Brouwer?

Jets had more odd-man rushes than we had shots on net
And then they scored like 4 pp goals. He's a backup goalie man, temper your expectations.

Honestly, Lack wasn't bad. Made some breakaway saves. Defense looked very much like most of them will be in Stockton next week.

I'm not sure what kind of game some people here were expecting.
Winnipeg with 90% of their starting NHL roster vs. Monahan, Tkachuk, Stone, Lack and the Flames AHL squad. Pretty much went as expected. Lack let in a couple bad goals but I thought he settled down a bit as the game went on. Jankowski looked comfortable which was nice to see against a solid NHL lineup.
This game was pretty much the last hurrah for the bubble guys trying to make an impression. Having said that, I'll be a little disappointed if there aren't a few cuts after this game.

I'd prefer we see the opening day roster in the next game and see what they have to offer before we go pay anything for Jagr or another player.

Not sure what game you were watching. The guy couldn't track the puck if his life depended on it. At leas 3-4 left-to-right looks before the puck was either in the net, or held by one of his team mates.
