The bad pitcher management started before today. Yesterday's decisions were when it started.
It's like the polar opposite of the save your closer too long strategy. Cubs want to just use everyone, even when they aren't needed.

Wow, Joe Maddon's decision in keeping Chapman longer than he supposed to last night is about to haunt him. I didn't understand why he didn't let Lester get the 3rd out and put Chapman right away. Sucks that the game is tied now. Cubs better score some runs in the 9th otherwise they might lose this game.
