And then EE swings at a ball in the dirt. What the heck.

Not EE's best AB but when you don't know what the strike zone is then that is what happens. The hitter has to protect 6 inches on both sides of the plate as well. Joke.

To say the least! Holy smokes.
I can't get over the amount of times this team is striking out. I wonder if they are closing in on a record because its staggering.
This can't be the best this team has to offer.

The good thing is that they can't get much worse so I hope they can figure it out soon but it sure is frustrating to watch.

Hilarious looking at the lineup today, Donaldson, bautista, EE and Mario Mendoza x6.
Sure enough today those 3 were 5 for 12 at the plate and the other 6 guys 2 for 20

Not sure about a record, I doubt they are close to one given the 120+ years, but they are averaging more than 10 strikeouts a game.

Toronto is first in the majors with 112 K's, then the Rangers and Astro's both with 108.

Weren't the jays bats terrible in April last year also.
Combine that with the fact this is the hardest month of the season schedule wise, and I'm not too concerned.
They just need to end the month within a game or two of .500 and it'll be fine.

Edwin slays in Boston. Should have stayed at second. You don't chance it with Price.

Couldn't you have worked in a comment about Gibbons being a horrible manager too? Then we could enjoy your full repertoire.

I won't have to for much longer. I'm betting his leash is getting shorter by each loss and his days are numbered without a big push in the next couple weeks. I'm sure Shapiro wood be more than happy to get his own coach in there.

I'm hearing Sanders at leadoff today? Can't say I disagree with the way Pillar hacks at far too much stuff outside the zone

Zaun had a pretty good segment on that yesterday. Said it was not in Pillar's DNA to not swing, it's killing Donaldson's ability to rack up RBIs, and at least Saunders had a .325 OBP and without any legitimate lead off in the lineup that's the best they are going to get.

I am not surprised at the move but to have even had Pillar in the lead off position to begin with is still somewhat (edit: not somewhat, extremely) troubling. Granted Pillar is awesome, and a threat to score, when he gets on base it's just that he really has a tough time getting on base.
Red Sox have their knuckleballer on the mound it's time for the Jays to get some runs.

Pillar would have struck out at this point.
So the hitters can't call time? I am confused.

What are the Jays going to do next year without EE or Jose? Score literally zero runs?
