Mikael Granlund
Meh. Don't bother me none. Only thing that really matters is who was the best TEAM. After that shaky start against Norway people were doubting whether the guys had enough time to come together and work as one unit. And wow, did they ever. Not as flashy as Gretzky/Lemieux era. Not as dramatic as Iginla to Crosby. But perfect defence and just the right mix of guys.
I've been harsh about Jay Bouw in the past and I don't take any of that back but nice to see him be on a winner. I don't think he "raised his play" like I always thought he could be he was a steady presence out there and him and Pieterangelo really have a chemistry together. Good for him.
Great game, great team.

So you come back and actually rock it out? Don't leave again and keep yourself at this level.
I don't care what anyone else says, I love watching NHL players at the Olympics. This team is so good and every single one of them bought into the system. Took in the game at the Pig & Duke with some friends and it was totally worth getting up at 4 AM. Absolutely surgical. Nice to see Crosby score another important goal.

This Team Canada might have had the best blue line I've ever seen. Every time an opponent actually got a shot off there was always a defenceman there to clear the puck and if they got into trouble a forward was always there to help out.
It's fun just imagining what that team could do if they were together for an 82 game season. Scary thought.
Also, I understand that Sweden was missing Zetterberg, Sedin and Backstrom but the announcers failed to point out we were without Stamkos and Tavaras. Not really a big deal but the injured Swedes were mentioned frequently and I'd take Stamkos and Tavaras over any of their missing players. Just another testament to how deep Canada is. Especially down the middle.

If it takes two players testing negative to be disqualified, why wouldn't he have just played anyways? Also, did the test results come in at the last minute, during warm up?

And how many cowboys here questioned Yzerman and Co. with their decisions.
