seems like there is no advantage to winning a division.. Doesn't even get you a number 3 seed. just an empty title.
Another reason I like the NHL more.. makes more sense come playoff time.

You're guaranteed home court advantage if you win the division. Either 3rd or 4th place depending on the amount of wins that you have.

At the very least a series against the Heat will allow them (the Heat) to finally see what a real fanbase looks like and not a fanbase dedicated to showing up late and leaving early.

If they beat the Nets, they get a least two more home playoff games or 3 if they are lucky. That's a few million bucks of extra revenue TO can use to sign Melo.

No thanks to Melo, volume shooter who wouldn't fit in with the team identity the Raps are building.
I was at the game last night and it was by the far craziest live sporting event I've attended (not including 2004 Game 6 of the Cup which I've blocked from my memory). The atmosphere was electric last night and even when the Nets went on their run in the 4th the crowd was just as loud. Here's hoping there's no game 7 and we get our second series win in franchise history. Lets Go Raptors!

While you are technically guaranteed the 4th seed, if the 5th seed has a better record they will get the home court advantage. The 2011-12 Celtics won the Atlantic and earned the 4th seed but the 5th place Hawks had a better record and thus got the home court advantage.

With just 7 players under contract next year, the Bulls are already cap out at $64M.

Kidd fined $25K for his comments. Funny how he complains when the Nets tanked to face us.

Kidd is just playing mind games with the refs. Many coaches do that too and Phil Jackson was the master at this. But Kidd will be better spending his time preparing his team instead.

I think the Raps take it tonight...the Nets gave it their all last game and still couldn't take it.

Yeah, I don't think Kidd has the clout at this point in his career to play mind-games with the refs. I'm sure they'll just roll their eyes and, if anything, call it even tighter on Brooklyn. Casey alluded early in the series to being displeased with the referees early on, but avoided calling out an individual ref, which is far more effective, as things that were going unnoticed early on (Pierce's frequent travels, for example), are being called now.
