What an eclectic lineup. Boz Scaggs, Nick Jonas, Julio Iglesias and Flo Rida should all do a song together.

Can anyone tell me why LCD soundsystem are getting top billing at all these festivals? I didn't recognize any of their songs on youtube and this is all very baffling to me.

But what exactly is it that puts them on the same level as GNR and Radiohead, and ahead of many acts that have had monster-hits lately? I've never heard them on the radio and they only have 2 gold albums, why are promoters expecting them to sell piles of tickets?

For the first time since 2012, Radiohead will play live shows.

The band announced three European festival headlining dates: Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona in June, Openair St. Gallen in Switzerland on Jul. 2, and Nos Alive Fest in Lisbon, Portugal on Jul. 8.

LCD are my all time favorite band and I am so unbelievably excited to see them at Coachella this year. It is going to be a crazy party.

They just got back together after calling it quits 5 years when they were juuuuust about to become huge - so people are pretty stoked that they are back.

They will absolutely melt your face live:

Not in terms of record sales, but LCD has a big cult following and is highly acclaimed:

James Murphy is very influential, and produces many other artists. It is not commercial rock music.

One of the leaders in the millennial wave of artists mixing punk edge with classic house grooves, creating indisputably fun dance music.

Looks like a fun live band, on another note, is there a better place in the world to see a show than The Gorge? Love that place so much....

Tumbling loonie is making things very difficult for Canadian music festivals

Unfavourable exchange rate plays havoc with music festival budgets

Get ready for a bunch of mediocre festival line-ups across Canada this summer. I'm sure the exchange will account for one to two headliners dropped from each major festival, if not outright cancellation.
