Peter Maher mentioned on the Fan today that Hartley is expected to name a new captain very soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the new captain was introduced wearing the new alternate jersey. This could explain the delayed announcement.
I'm astounded that there's that much debate about piping, colors, flags, logos, stripes, bands...etc...all for a 3rd jersey that will only be bought by a few hardcore fans and then worn by even fewer fans.
I just don't see the point. Sorry if I'm raining on your parade.

Considering you almost see more of the current alternates than home jerseys, if this jersey is done properly, there's no way that it's only purchased by a 'few hardcore fans'.

I'll admit people getting their panties in a knot over a sometimes wild card possibility is stupid but what can ya do. When the actual jersey is revealed we'll have a thread for that.

Good point. When moon first registered he was pretty full of sunshine and lollipops. After a couple months of continuous jersey talk he was transformed into the joyless man he is today, all because of Calgarypuck, we shaped his identity and who he is.

Thread title wasn't really a clue for you eh brother? I believe when an announcement is made, or you get to actually see the kit, that giant "RUMOUR:" will drop from the thread title. You know, being the first word and all.... thought it was obvious...
I don't know Moon anymore than I know your penchant for having bold and out-of-the mold opinions that fly in the face of what's popular like some CP James Dean, but I DO know that it's probably just as valid to be grouchy over someone coming into a "Rumour" thread and saying "Stop discussing this rumour!"

I see moon on another forum discussing the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He is no different over there than he is here. I don't think CalgaryPuck made him the poster he is today, it is just who he is.
